Set on top of a hill our cosy Lockwood "A" frame home is right in the Kawhia township, walking distance to dairies, hotel, bars, cafes, wharf, the beach and fishing. Fishing charters are available and there is a golf course within a 2 minute drive. Our home is extremely relaxing, comfortably furnished and totally self contained. Your own slice of paradise. The property is very private,ideally suited for a couple wanting a romantic getaway, you can sip champagne in the bath and see the harbour views or see the beautiful sunsets from the deck. Kawhia is famous for its great fish and chips from the wharf. The Kawhia Boat Club(down by the wharf) have nice meals on a Friday & Saturday nights.Visitors are The new Kawhia Black Sands hotel has bar and restaurant with a nice menu. Have a drink at the Kawhia Hotel and catch up with the locals,they also do nice fish & chips to takeaway or have in the beer garden. At Ocean Beach you can take your spade and dig your own hot pool at low tide and enjoy a nice bottle of wind and all the tranquillity of Kawhia. There is parking at the driveway access to the property. There is a reasonable walk up to the Bach which would not suit anyone who has health or mobility issues. This is a SmokeFree property. .Public holiday long weekends have a minimum 3 night stay Easter weekend minimum 4 night stay. 2 night minimum stay for any booking at any time.
