This custom built home was completed and furnished 2016. Large lot, full walkout basement w/ bar, 5 bed + office with couch-sofa, 4.5 bath, screened porch, beautiful views. Master bed and guest master bed both include en-suite bath for inlaws/friends. There are 4 additional bedrooms. There is a dock with lake access (not great to swimming from shore), and local boat rentals available. 30 mins to downtown Minneapolis/Airport/Stadium/Mall of America. Great small town and quiet neighborhood New home finished March 2016. We set up the home to be great for families who would like to spend some time on the lake while still being close to Minneapolis. There are two master bedrooms, both with en-suite baths (one with a tub and shower), and both sporting views of the lake and king beds. Two other bedrooms share a bathroom and have queen beds. On the main floor there is an office/bedroom with a pull-out mattress. The room in the basement is perfect for older kids/teens with a full/twin bunk bed. Both master bedrooms have 42" flat screen TVs. The main floor is nice and open with a large island kitchen and brand new appliances. There is a covered patio and deck off the main floor for enjoying great views while being outside and still protected from the bugs. The main room has a gas fireplace and 60" flat screen TV. The walk-out basement is fully finished and has high ceilings, a full bath, walk out access to the yard/lake/dock, and a bar. There is a gas fireplace and 60" flat screen TV. High speed wifi throughout and basic cable are available. The yard is very large and we will have yard games in the garage. There will be a sandy beach and roll-out dock for accessing the water. There is also a large fire pit. The location is not best suited for swimming from shore, given that we are in the corner of a shallow bay, but the lake swimming beaches are very close by. Also our bay is great for swimming off the boat or other watercraft, and the bay is great for paddleboarding. The entire home will be available, aside from a couple locked storage closets. The shed in the yard is not for renters and will be locked. We will not be local for guest interaction but we will have local contacts for emergencies including maintenance issues. Prior Lake is a great watersport and fishing lake. There are two public swimming areas, a lakeside restaurant, an awesome brewery, a very nice town center with a small town feel, grocery stores and shopping nearby. There are many golf courses nearby and a large casino called Mystic Lake is just a few miles up with great entertainment and music. The airport, Mall of America, and downtown Minneapolis are about a 30 minute drive from the property. In the winter the lake is a good spot for ice fishing, and there are many snowmobile routes available. There is a new movie theater built right up the road, Valley Fair is a few minutes away, and Canterbury Park horse track is also very close. The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is close by and has shuttles running from the casino if you don't want to drive. It runs weekends from Aug 19 to Oct 1, and labor day - this is great family fun. It is best to have a car if you are visiting from out of town. There is limited Uber/Lyft/taxi availability, though you will be able to find one with patience. There is a public boat launch if you have a boat or jet skis that you would like to park on our dock while you stay. Please be considerate of the neighbors. During both summer and winter we may have landscaping/snow removal service. We will do our best to coordinate around your stay.
