The guest suite on our ranch is situated on 18 acres of privately owned land. We are also surrounded by hundreds of acres of almond and pistachio trees. If you want to slip away to a hidden country haven, look no further...Horseshoe Bar ranch is the perfect destination to do just that. Escape. Relax in the hammock. Read. Take a guided trail ride. Roam the orchards. Take a dip in the pool in summer. Enjoy the waterfall. Explore the mountains nearby or wine tasting in Paso Robles. The space The guest quarters are located on the north wing of my 2700 square foot home. With over two hundred square feet of private space, you will have plenty of room to kick back and relax. There is a full sized private bathroom that connects the bedroom to the sitting lounge. The door to the master suite is a solid wood door as well as the door the sitting room. Those doors stay locked from our side as we live in the rest of the house. The guest quarters consist of a bedroom, one queen bed, private bath, and sitting room. We offer a fully stocked coffee bar, small refrigerator, tea pot, portable heater, extra fan, ironing board, iron, blow dryer, curling iron, books, dvds, and playing cards, as well as a basket of snacks for your enjoyment. We do live here in the rest of the house, so you might hear occasional household noise, but we try to keep noise at a minimum. Guest access Guests are encouraged to roam and relax on the ranch. There are multiple outdoor sitting areas, tables, chairs, a hammock, as well as a 27,000 gallon swimming pool with waterfall for your enjoyment. A gentle reminder that access to the horses and feeding them is available with prior arrangement. Please note-Our fencing surrounding the horses are electric. During your stay We love interacting with our guests! How much, or how little, is entirely dependent on you. Want to hang out and learn about horses? Please do! We are often asked about horse lessons. Horse lessons are available for $85 per person. We also offer guided trail rides for $100.00 per person. There is a hot breakfast option for $15.00 per person. Other things to note Please know our water is treated and potable. On our well system, the water looks slightly off color but is perfectly safe for consumption. Please note since are on a well and septic system, PLEASE do not throw paper towels, q-tips, or ANY feminine products in the toilet. It can and will clog up the toilet. It’s very messy and very expensive to repair. There are trash receptacles provided for you. Where we are located: Horseshoe ranch is located a 1/3 mile off the main road. It is a well-maintained decomposed gravel road. In the summer it can throw off dust. We request that all of our visitors drive slowly to not only mitigate summer dust, but please be vigilant and cautious about wandering outdoor critters. We have barn kitties, chickens, and six ranch dogs. We kindly request that guests drive extremely slow. Our pets are indoor and outdoor pets but do not have access to the guest wing suite, so if you have pet allergies, please be forewarned. We do our best to keep the guest room free of animals and dust, but we are a working ranch and animals do live here. Please note we don’t allow smoking, vaping, cigar smoking or pipe smoking in the guest suite at all. Guests are permitted to smoke at least fifteen feet from any entrance. There is a $500.00 fine if this ranch rule is violated. The fine is necessary to cover the expenses to dry clean the linens, drapes, carpeting, purchase new pillows, etc. Smoke lingers and we cannot have future guests compromised. Thank you for your understanding. We do allow pets on approval. There is a small fee of $75.00 that is due upon booking to cover the extra cleaning and sanitizing that’s must occur to comply with the strict Covid cleaning policies. Please note that pets must have all verifiable immunizations and must be at least one year old. We’ve found puppies have boo-boos and like to chew things. Guests must be a minimum age of 21 years old to book. Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. Check-out is by 10:00 a.m. We try to accommodate late check ins or late check outs requests when possible. We are a working horse ranch. That means we offer beginner and intermediate horsemanship to folks. We also offer guided trail rides, host birthday parties, etc. We offer these amenities six days a week from the hours of 0800-2100 hours. Guests can expect to see riders on horseback during these times or in the stabling area. Our version of a dude ranch in California
