Welcome to our cozy, two-story home in the hottest close-in NE Portland neighborhood. You’ll have everything you need at your fingertips. Henriette House is the perfect home base for exploring the city by foot or bike or relaxing at home with friends & family. We have a record player, board games, and tons of comfy spaces to veg. We’ve just installed central AC to keep you cool on those hot summer days…a rare find in Portland homes! This listing is for the entire house. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs (2 queen beds, 1 full size futon) and 2 full baths with showers (one upstairs and one down). We can make an additional inflatable mattress bed available to set up in the dining room if desired. Our bedrooms feature some of the coziest mattresses & bedding available on the market. After you try our Hilton mattress and our Belgian linen or garment washed cotton sheets, you'll never want to leave your room! Don't believe us? Just read our guest reviews! On the first floor, you'll find an airy, open kitchen that is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to create a feast for your loved ones. The large island is the perfect place to connect with friends and family over a glass of wine. If coffee is more your speed, you’re in luck. We take our coffee very seriously here at Henriette House. We have a Bodum pour over coffee maker as well as a French press and brand new high-end Fellow burr grinder. We keep some of our favorite beans stocked for you to enjoy. If you prefer your coffee a bit quicker, there's a drip machine as well. Either way, our east-facing front porch is the perfect place to catch some morning rays while savoring your cuppa joe. Stylish (and super comfortable) mid-century furniture, unique art, and eclectic vintage finds adorn our relaxing living room. Put on a little Ella & Louis on the record player, kick your feet up, and feel your worries start to slip away. We also have a recently upgraded 50” TV with Netflix & Prime. Digital nomad? Our place is perfect for working remotely. We have a dedicated work station in one of the bedrooms, reliable wifi access, and a small stock of office supplies in case you forget something. For larger projects, our dining table makes a great workspace as well. The fenced in back yard features a covered patio area and plenty of room to play cornhole, bbq, or enjoy a fire. We’ve upgraded to a Weber propane grill for your outdoor cooking adventures. Fresh raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries are seasonally available for the picking. Laundry room access available upon request. Please inquire in advance of your stay. Walking distance to Mississippi/ Williams bars, restaurants, food carts, and shops. Trendy NW 23rd, Artsy Alberta, and The Pearl/Downtown are an easy bike ride or quick Uber trip. Tons of great city parks nearby including Forest Park, Peninsula Park, Irving Park, and more! Feel like exploring? Get out of the city and enjoy the legendary Oregon coast (~1.5-2 hr drive) or hike the Columbia River Gorge (~45 min drive). We are doing all we can to keep our guests and our cleaners safe from Covid-19. If you or anyone you've been in near proximity to has tested positive for or is displaying Covid-19 symptoms, please stay at home. Please note, we can't make any exceptions to our cancellation policy at this time, so we recommend you purchase travel insurance if additional flexibility is desired. We follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights: -We sanitize all high-touch surfaces. -We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies. -We clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists. -We provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay. -We comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines. Please note, our home is not suitable for young children and we do not allow any pets. There is a two-night minimum stay unless we have a one-night only availability in our calendar. Exceptions will be evaluated on a case by case basis, so please send a request with details if you would like us to consider. Guest access Guests will have access to all areas except basement. Other things to note We have full laundry in the basement, but request that guests let us know ahead of time if they need to use it so we can give access to the area. This is a turn of the century home. While it is in great condition and has been updated, it is not without its "quirks." Please be aware that some things may be different from what you're accustomed to if you live in a newer home. The month of August and holiday long weekends have a 3 night minimum stay.
