Oceanfront Nature Retreat

Beautiful, custom built, 1000 sq.ft. oceanfront timber frame home on a private 3 acre wooded lot, overlooking the Juan de Fuca Strait. Only 1 hour drive from Victoria on the stunning west coast Highway 14, with great access to parks, beaches, hiking trails, world class surfing, fishing and much more. An incredible natural environment! QUIET TIME OUTSIDE after 9PM 12 steps up to the suite from parking area. The space The exterior of the cabin is cedar, and the interior has beautiful fir beams and finishes. It overlooks the ocean in a private, natural setting with a large outdoor deck and stunning views. The interior is an open concept with modern furnishings, TV/cable/internet, a fully equipped kitchen with an island and live edge sit up bar, full laundry, fresh linens and towels, a large two-person shower and BBQ on the sundeck. There is a wood burning fireplace, outdoor shower and fire pit (with wood supplied). The master bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom a queen bunk set. Featuring Saltspring Island Soap works in the bathrooms. Offering local Fishing, hiking and massage and yoga services upon request. **The upper unit can comfortably sleep 4 ppl. Access to suite 12 steps up from parking to front door. In order to accommodate a maximum of **6 people, there is a lower level suite to add on to your reservation. The Lower Suite has comfy double pull-out couch/ bed, with big screen TV, reclining couch, lower level 1/2 bath w/ outdoor shower and an additional bar size fridge available. If you would like to add the additional suite to your stay (or for a 5-6 person group), there is an additional $75 per Night for the suite, *plus an additional cost per additional person up to 6ppl. The lower media suite is only available to the guests renting the upper level. Suite access point is on the exterior, below the patio off the upper suite. There is a walking trail down to the beach, close to the property at the cul de sac, 2 minute walk from property and 5-10 minutes down a rugged trail. We are taking every precaution for the safety of our guests and our cleaners. The space is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Guest access You will have full access to the private *upper level of home (12 steps up to up to living area). With the exception of the garage and lower bench of the property (Tiny home location). Direct beach access is not possible due to the steep slope and vegetation. Other things to note There is an additional tiny home unit available at this property should your group need more space. It is located well out of sight and sound from the main cabin. This Oceanfront Tiny Home is also available on Airbnb, please enquire. Tiny home only available April - Oct. There is limited cell service once you pass the town of Sooke, but a land line is available for calls, and there is good Wifi service. The town of Sooke is the last stop for groceries, supplies and gas enroute from Victoria. While there are a number of small restaurants a short drive away and a great coffee shop (the Cold Shoulder), guests should consider bringing groceries from Sooke (or Victoria) before heading up. There are condiments available in the kitchen (including coffee and Keurig machine). During Fall and Winter we have storms that can some times produce a power outage lasting 2-6 hours. Please pack you head lamp just in case. We have a fireplace, candles, a lantern and a BBQ for cooking. There are details in our welcome print out at the cabin. Up to 2 dogs. Depending on breed, size.
