Over 150 years old, this is a colonial / Sri Lankan style bungalow. We have kept the original features of the Villa while adding modern bathrooms for the modern traveler. Consists of 4 bedrooms, 3with en-suite bathrooms, All rooms have AC & Fans. Private POOL & pavilion for guests only. Also a Visitors bathroom, 2 outside showers. It has a front veranda, living room, dining area, rear veranda and the kitchen, geared for self catering with cooker with oven, big freezer, 2 more fridge freezers. The space Woodland with Cinnamon, coconut, and a variety of fruit trees. POOL for guests only. Variety of birds and our good friends , the Grey monkeys who visit us every day to feast on our fruit trees. Guests can scrape their own Cinnamon to take back. We can arrange a visit to a tea factory just 20 minutes walk away, to see how the tea is processed and purchase some tea straight from the factory. This Heritage Bungalow is over 150 years old and Sleeps 9, set in a rural village, is the ideal place to relax and enjoy nature at your doorstep. All the trees make the environment much cooler and peaceful; you will feel the difference as soon as you arrive. Guests can use the Pool which has massage jets to give a relaxing water massage. In days gone by, there was a great view of the Ging River that flows past the edge of our land, but the view is now obstructed due to the large trees, but you can walk down to the river bank in 3 minutes. Unfortunately it’s no longer safe to swim in the river due to the strong currents and crocodiles; of course we now have a 30x14 pool where you can swim and relax in the pavilion or by the pool side. If guests want the beach; we are 20 minutes from the world famous Hikkaduwa Beach, with it’s 4-5 star hotels, restaurants, great Night life, and of course, the beautiful beaches. They’re are several Turtle Farms along the Hikkaduwa beach, which is a must for the kids and the adults. You can visit the world famous Dutch Fort which is a World Heritage sight in Galle town, just 30 minutes by express way. From the Galle fort one can get a great view of the Galle International Cricket Stadium. Unawatuna Beach, which was described in the National geographic Magazine as one of the best Beaches in the world, is just a few minutes from Galle town We can arrange a Tuk-tuk that guests can hire to go to the beach, or we can arrange a 6 seater or a larger van if guests need to travel outstation. We can arrange bicycles for guests who would like to go for a ride along the river. The beautiful scenery and fresh clean air is worth the effort. The property is a short walk away from the Baddegama town with easy access to Banks, Supermarkets, shops, Salons and restaurants. The Bungalow is geared for self catering, or Guests can pre-order a Sri Lankan breakfast or a continental breakfast from the menu when they Checkin. Lunch and dinner ( Sri Lankan style ) can also be ordered with prior notice. If you hold a function while staying at the bungalow; we have over 50 car parking spaces.
