The space This new farmhouse in the Tuscan countryside has been completely rebuilt on the remains and with the materials of the ancient building that was lost about two centuries ago. After an absence from the maps of about 100 years, with love and stubbornness we have realized our dream, giving life to a truly unique building, which maintains the magic of the Tuscan homes of the past while having modern construction techniques in itself. Our typical villa with a Tuscan garden is located on the eastern slopes of the hill of Cortona, at an altitude of 352 m above sea level, and enjoys the sun until late in the evening. It is isolated and surrounded by the greenery of centuries-old olive trees as far as the eye can see, but it is still close to all services, with the center and the main points of interest of Cortona just 1500 meters away. It is a pleasant walk in the truest Tuscany made up of castles and historic homes of important families that have made our land unique in the world. On the ground floor, we have created a spacious kitchen and dining room as they were in the old houses, which continues with a warm and comfortable living room where the local stone fireplace predominates. The ground floor continues with a bedroom, bathroom and another room, also designed for those who cannot use the stairs and do not want to deprive themselves of the pleasure of our hospitality. Upstairs there are two more bedrooms with bathrooms arranged with the utmost care and attention, inspired by the classic Tuscan-style farmhouse. This holiday home in Cortona is equipped with all modern comforts without forgetting its origins. In fact, inside you can find the wood-fired oven for bread, the barbecue and the cellar as it once was. For this reason, even the swimming pool, not present in the past, has been inserted in a context that does not want to deface what nature and history have left us as a legacy. The outdoor spaces are large and available, to enjoy the sun in full relaxation and to experience a poignant sunset, a prelude to the magic of the night that makes this corner of paradise in Tuscany special.
