Affordable Milwaukee single

We look forward to hosting you in our 112-year-old home in the lovely and diverse Washington Heights neighborhood. Originally a duplex, we have converted it into a single-family home. We welcome you and want you to feel at home with us. One of the hosts, Ben, lives on the second floor. This room has a single-sized bed and is located next to the kitchen. It has a lock and a set of keys for the room door and the front and side doors. The space Our home is ideally located, just two minutes from I-94 . . . turn left to Chicago, turn right to Minneapolis. Better yet, stay right here and enjoy Milwaukee! Ten minutes east is downtown Milwaukee where most of the cultural, artistic, and sports venues are located. Not to mention great restaurants and beautiful Lake Michigan. To the south visit American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, one of the largest stadiums in the country. Just ten minutes west is the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, comprising six health care institutions including Milwaukee Children’s Hospital, Froedtert Hospital, and the Medical College of Wisconsin. We are about an 8-minute drive to the VA Hospital. Closer to home, you will find several restaurants with a variety of cuisines. Guest access In addition to your own room, you will have access to the kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, front porch, back yard, and deck. If there are guests in either or both of the other two rooms we offer, they will also have access to the guest spaces. Eggs, bread, coffee/tea, milk, and cold cereal are available for breakfast. Guest Spaces: The Bathroom There is a shower and full bathtub. In the cabinet you can find towels and sundries you may have forgotten. There are also first aid items there. The Living Room and Dining Room These are available for your use as is the entire first floor. In the dining room you will find a wide array of board games in the buffet opposite the windows. The pocket doors can be closed to separate the rooms if need be. The Kitchen The kitchen is fully stocked with everything guests need to prepare meals if they wish. Guests are welcome store food in the refrigerator. The Backyard and Deck In the Spring and Summer, guests are welcome to sit at the table on the deck. There is a large umbrella available to provide shade if desired. *Please Note: While we give guests privacy during their stay, we retain access to the first floor. Usually, this occurs when we greet other guests and show them around the house. Also, on occasion, Ben may cook meals when guests are out of the house (never when guests are present). We will notify guests when we need to enter the first floor. We will NOT enter guests rooms. During your stay We are available to our guests, always respecting their privacy. Other things to note We do not allow pets. We recommend you get the night street parking permit, which is required for every night except Saturday night. It is free for the first three nights. After that, it is $1 per day or $5 weekly. You can get the permit at the City of Milwaukee website "temporary overnight parking" page (it's not possible to include links here, so feel free to ask us to send you the link).
