Family Friendly Cottage at the Poolside Retreat

Our charming Carriage House is one of just two units, available at the Poolside Retreat in Peachland, our mini resort. We are the only accommodation in the area with a pool and a diving board where children are welcome, as well as a legal Carriage House, as opposed to a suite. We also have an outside games area and a playground a short stroll away. It is also situated in a quiet location adjacent to farmland, yet just a short drive to downtown Peachland. The space The Carriage House is spacious and comfortably accommodates a family of 4 (5 if a child). 1st Bedroom has a queen bed with a patio door leading to the patio and a walk-in wardrobe, 2nd bedroom has two twin beds and we also have a portable bed for that 5th guest that can fit in the twin bedroom too, available on request. We have two patios, one overlooking the outside games area with a badminton net set up and the second with a barbecue, and the path leading to the pool area is secluded and set in beautifully landscaped surroundings. Our seasonal pool (closed 11th September, 2025) is saltwater opening hours are 9.00am to 8.00pm high season and has an added bonus of a diving board, which our guests just love. It is shared with our other units the Poolside Suite (max occupants 4) and only registered guests are allowed onto the property so rest assured the pool is never crowded and our guests often have it to themselves. Please check out our Aerial photograph for the locations of each unit where you will see each has its own private pathway to the pool area and very often our guests have the pool to themselves. We are also a short stroll away from a children's play area. THINGS TO DO - We are in a quiet area, adjacent to farmland, great for hiking and cycling, yet minutes from downtown Peachland. Peachland is unique to the Okanagan as it is the only place where there is 11km of uninterrupted beachfront lined with shops and restaurants, plus there is bike and paddle board hire. For adventure lovers, within 15mins there is ATV hire where you can explore our many backwater lakes and we also boast the highest zipline in North America, plus of course fishing and many hiking trails. We are also home to the Ogopogo and we always recommend to our guests to hire a boat and explore the many beaches only accessible by boat and spot his cave. Or you can bring your own boat, we have plenty of room to park it, or better still hire a dock for the week. This is an ideal location to explore all that the Okanagan has to offer as we are between Kelowna and Penticton and of course the many fantastic wineries this area has to offer. WINTER: It is great to explore the 4 ski resorts from 15 minutes to 1.5 hours away. Just 15 minutes from snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Apex Mtn, just 50 50-minute drive away, plus Big White and Silverstar are just over an hour. The Carriage House also offers all the thrill of staying in a winter cabin but with all the comforts of home and the convenience of being just minutes from beautiful downtown Peachland. We live on site and are available to advise on the best places to go or to answer any other questions you may have. The best thing about where we live is that we are adjacent to Farmland, which is tranquil yet only minutes away from downtown Peachland and the lake, offering everything it has to offer. Additionally, we are near ski resorts and situated between Penticton and Kelowna. The best way to get around is by car and you will need winter tyres from 1st October to 1st April Guest access As the pictures illustrate, it is a single home with its own private garden. Other things to note We live on the premises and have ring cameras in the parking area and driveway, so rest assured it is very secure It is suitable for families and mature adults looking for a safe and peaceful vacation. The pool is seasonal so please check with hosts for opening times during spring and fall. High season it is open 9.00 gill 8.00pm weather permitting There is no lifeguard on duty at the pool and guests swim at their own risk.
