This house is beautifully situated just north of Gila NM close to Gila Wilderness attractions. It's setting is quiet and serene and just a few steps from the largest of our ponds here at Bearpaw Ranch. Great for bird watching and close to extraordinary hiking. Cozy adobe with a rock fireplace and well equipped large kitchen. The space Very near the Gila Wilderness and river. Horse friendly. 35 m from Silver City NM off highway. The Stewart House is very private and serene. Bearpaw Ranch straddles the Gila river and the river is just a short walk away. The largest of our 4 ponds is just a short walk from the front door. We allow catch and release fishing for our guests. Fully furnished adobe house. Two bedrooms, large living room with lovely rock fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, full size frig and even a workable antique wood cook stove. Washer and dryer, satellite TV and WiFi. This is a small working ranch and we are usually busy working on something. We love meeting new folks but also respect your privacy. You can spend days never seeing anyone if you so choose. There is a small community library and Senior Citizen center 3milles down the road if you want to be more sociable. It is really up to you. We want your stay here to be restful and restorative, or busy and challenging. Whichever is your cup of tea. Guest access Fully furnished adobe house. Washer and dryer, Roku TV and WiFi. The house is provided with plenty of fluffy white linens. There is a sauna on the property that is open for the guest to use as they want. We also have a meal delivery service available. Other things to note Gila is a beautiful 35 minute drive from historic Silver City NM where you will find numerous shops, galleries, unique restaurants, and museums. The Gila Wilderness is all around us, and there is hiking and bird watching galore. An excellent day trip from your humble abode here could include a visit to the Gila Cliff Dwellings (about 2 1/2 hours each way) or a picnic at the Catwalk in Glenwood(only 25 beautiful miles north). Yearly events include a world famous bike racing and free weekend long music festivals. The Blues Fest on Memorial weekend and Bluegrass in September. The Wild West Rodeo is in June, and the county fair is held out here in the valley on the last weekend of September.
