Near the Wayside for the Nestucca River, Salmon Superhighway! Located 3 miles North of Hebo, OR and 1/4 mile from a boat ramp to the famous Nestucca River. This log-built home is 3,642 square feet of rustic luxury. The home is fully furnished with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and wood fireplace. Downstairs are ping pong, billiards and shuffleboard. The space Private 2.2 acre pond located in the middle of a forested setting. The pond is a popular resting place for many species of water birds. Farmer creek (a tributary of the Nestucca and also a salmon superhighway) forms the northern border of the property. Come watch spawning fish along the hundreds of feet of frontage with the creek. You have access to the cabin, the boat house, and the many trails around the property. The main trail wraps around the lake and is absolutely gorgeous. You'll walk by the creek so watch for paths that lead down to it! Private pond and docks. Guests are welcome to swim or take boats out on the pond! The entire 1st floor of the home is a game room with a ping pong table, Billards table, and Shuffleboard table. Upstairs, the loft is decked out with board games and a HD Smart TV. Guest access Keyless entry! I'll send you the code and simple access instructions 24 hours prior to your visit. I am on call at all times during the duration of your stay should any emergency or maintenance issues arise and will be there within 45 minutes to 2 hours after your call. Other things to note WIFI - Verizon gets great reception out here, Sprint is ok, and there is WiFi calling to boost the signal for other callers. We have WiFi but this is not the place to stay if you are completely dependent on high speed internet! That’s just part of coastal living :) We have 3 TV's, 2 of them are smart TV's and the 3rd TV has a blu-ray/DVD player. We provide coffee maker with complementary regular coffee, decaf coffee, and tea. THE WATER- The water in this area is very mineralized and clean however it has a sulfur smell to it. IF you are sensitive to smells then this may bother you, otherwise, most people overlook it. We provide several 5-gallon jugs of filtered water for the water dispenser in the kitchen, although we do recommend bringing bottled water. THE POND - The pond is freshly fed by Farmer Creek so keep in mind that the water is chilly, even in the summer! That’s why we provide boats so you can enjoy it all year long! We swim in it on hot summer days and we have guests swim but it is completely personal preference. Also, because it is a man-made pond, the bottom is muddy. Expect a little “mush” if you walk out! :) We're sorry - no pets.
