Porto Island 3 (house and terrace w/barbecue)

Porto Island is located at Boavista neighbourhood, midway between the historic centre and the sea. In front of a rent-a-car and a cafe and a few steps from bus stop, supermarket, restaurants and pharmacy. We have 3 houses located along a backyard with a pleasant garden, barbecue and tables to enjoy your meals outside. The backyard and houses cannot be seen from the street (a locked gate makes the separation), thus assuring you privacy and quietness. The space Porto Island's houses are part of Porto's history: The term "island" refers to rows of little houses, usually built in the back of bourgeois houses. Similarly to Leeds’ or Liverpool’s back-to-back houses, these proliferated in Porto during the Industrial Revolution. There were only a room, living room and a kitchen in each house, many times accommodating up to 10 people. In 1899, almost half of Porto’s population lived in “islands”. Our houses were fully refurbished for your comfort, yet keeping the character of their rich historic past. Other things to note IMPORTANT: Porto Tourist Tax - 2 euros/person night - the tax applies from 1st March 2018 for all guests aged over 13 ; maximum 14 euros/person per stay. - payment is due at check-in till April 2018 (from April on, airbnb will collect the tax).
