Cathare Land, Manor of Castillou

At the end of the road, in a valley of over 120 hectares among forests, olive groves and aromatic plants, stay in the former summer residence of the bishops: a 13th-century manor with its gîte and tower, chapel and shaded park. Large pool from late June to late September, trails, games for all ages: a place to recharge and unplug, ideal for families or friends, retreats and seminars, or an elegant wedding in the heart of nature, between Carcassonne and the Pyrenees. The space An authentic place, steeped in history, with an enchanting setting: exposed beams, natural stone and solid wood floors, in a refined style. THE GÎTE (340 m²) – 15 guests, more on request (please contact us) • 6 sleeping areas + 1 optional bedroom • 5 bathrooms • 2 dining/living rooms, one with a fireplace • Games room: piano, pool table, table football • Equipped kitchen, bar area, laundry room, wine cellar DINING Full board or half board: French and Mediterranean cuisine, homemade with organic, local produce from short supply chains. EVENTS Weddings, birthdays, family celebrations: we take care of everything, turnkey. Reception hall, courtyard, park and reception tent, for up to 250 guests. OUTDOORS Park, pool in summer, playground, table tennis, trails through olive groves and forests. Archery initiation, organic essential oils, olive oil and beer made on the estate. Guest access The gîte occupies the entire east wing of the manor, with its three entrances, its own path, terrace, orchard and parking. We live in the opposite wing, with our own courtyard: you enjoy complete privacy, and we remain available if needed. You also have access to the park, the central courtyard, the trails and the whole estate. The large pool, open from late June to late September, is reserved for our guests (our children may simply pop in for a quick dip!). Castillou is a living estate: you may come across our farmer in the olive groves. Here, you wake up to birdsong, with no noise whatsoever.
