Description
The Alpenchalet Kogel is located on the outskirts of Bad Tölz high above the old town with a fantastic view of the city and the Karwendel Mountains. It is luxuriously equipped with old wood roof chair, black steel designer kitchen, garden sauna, two secluded terraces, fireplace and a mix of high quality designer furniture and antiques. For children there is a cable car, trampoline, slide, sandbox, treehouse and football field as well as in summer in-house camera cafe. The space The open old wood roof chair gives the alpine chalet its very special charm. Centrally located in the middle of the room is the cooking island and a rustic oak table. In winter, guests can use the fireplace. From the living room, three glass doors go directly to the south terrace. The room is designed with historic b/w shots of Bad Tölz. A large flat screen with Netflix access is available - without destroying the atmosphere of the room. The Brauneck ski resort is 15 minutes away and is artificially snowed. Ski tours start right in front of the house, or you can drive to Karwendel for 30 minutes. The Schlittenberg for children is right in front of the chalet - earlier until the 60s, the Kogel was the ski resort of Bad Tölz. Other things to note The Alpenhotel Kogel was opened in 1891 and was a hotel known beyond the city's borders until its closure in 2008. Even Thomas Mann stayed there and described the encounter with landlady Stasi in his book "Herr und Hund". At the time, Thomas Mann bought his dog "Bauschan" at the Alpenhotel Kogel. The hotel has been closed and converted into a private house. The hospitable spirit of the Alpenhotel Kogel was revived in 2019 when the former stable was converted into the Alpenchalet Kogel. Since 2020, vacationers and families are now able to rediscover this magical place. The last two years, the chalet was privately used and reopened in the summer of 2024.
