This historic white domed building overlooks the sea and the splendid promenade. There are some beautiful walks in and around Whitley Bay and Tynemouth including the lovely walk along the seafront through Cullercoats and onto Tynemouth a beautiful flat walk, stop off at one of the friendly cafés or bistros en route. Or along to St Mary’s Lighthouse following the coastal path or promenade. The metro station is in Whitley Bay, ideal if you want to visit Newcastle upon Tyne or even Tynemouth if you don’t want to walk or drive. Whitley Bay Playhouse has shows every week.
