Description
A cottage get-away in the French country side. I acquired this house with the intention of creating a weekend haven to escape from the bustle of work and city life. I loved it so much that I become a traditional roof thatcher and now live here full time! There's lots to do and see but you can also just enjoy the comfort of the house: relaxing in the garden and sauna, cooking up something delicious from a farmers market, curling up in front of the fireplace with a book from the library, ... The space Built in 1786, the cottage is a typical example of a farm house for the region. I completely renovated the home in 2010 using natural materials and furnished the rooms mostly with antic furniture. I am currently redoing myself the thatched roof. Guest access My home is your home, so please feel at ease to use the kitchen, living and dining room, the garden and sauna. There is a separate fridge for guests in the kitchen. During your stay It is a large house for me alone so I’m always happy when there are guests. I tend to go out quite a bit but I am always available by phone. Other things to note The house is not really set up for infants/toddlers but children are welcome. There are a variety of board games upstaires, they can play in the garden and there is a park infront of the house as well.
