Located on Calle 53 (the most sought after street in Merida) just two blocks north of leafy Santiago Park, the location is quiet yet situated close to all the attractions. The space The renovated colonial home has been skillfully designed to satisfy modern sensibilities, providing ample natural light, cooling breezes and a spacious yard and terrace on which to entertain. Bedroom 1: Located upstairs, bedroom 1 (measuring roughly 50 square meters or 500 square feet) it has a king bed, fan and air conditioning and looks out onto a large shaded terrace. The bathroom is equipped with double vanities and double high-pressure rain-shower with view onto a private balcony which overlooks the yard and pool area. Bedroom 2: Located upstairs, bedroom 2 (measuring roughly 32 square meters or 350 square feet) it has a king bed, fan and air conditioning and looks out onto a large shaded terrace. The bathroom is equipped with single vanity and single high-pressure rain-shower. Bedroom 3: Located in the casita at the rear of the property, bedroom 3 (measuring roughly 42 square meters or 450 square feet) it has a king bed, fan and air conditioning and, on the southern end, looks out onto the pool. The northern end looks out onto a private garden. The bathroom is equipped with double vanities, deep soaking tub and single high-pressure rain-shower with garden views. Bedroom 4: Located downstairs, bedroom 4 (measuring roughly 20 square meters or 215 square feet) has doors onto the kitchen and bedroom 5. It comes equipped with a king bed, fan, air-conditioning, and looks out onto the internal courtyard. The bathroom is equipped with single vanity and high-pressure shower. Bedroom 5: Located downstairs, bedroom 5 (measuring roughly 20 square meters or 215 square feet) adjoins bedroom 4 and the lounge. It comes equipped with a two single beds, fan, air-conditioning, and looks out onto the cool internal courtyard. It has no bathroom (most convenient to share with bedroom 4) Kitchen: The kitchen comes fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, high capacity fridge and freezer, heavy base saucepans, chef's knives, salad and mixing bowls, and ample high quality flatware and tableware. There are ceiling fans but no air-conditioning. Dining room: Antique ten-seater dining table, glass doors open onto garden, ceiling fans but no air-conditioning. Lounge: flat-screen Smarat TV, smart video projector and four couches each one measuring two meters in length. Two ceiling fans but no air-conditioning. Laundry: The laundry is located off the kitchen and has a washing machine and dryer. Laundry liquid is not provided. Guest access Guests have access to all areas of the house with the exception of one cupboard used to store bulk cleaning items. Other things to note Extra services: Kitchen supplies: Our house manager is happy to stock the kitchen with groceries. Her fee is 20% of the cost payable directly to her ($100 US minimum grocery charge). You are also welcome to use grocery delivery apps, Cornershop or Rappi, but delivery personnel are not permitted in the house prior to guest arrival or without guest supervision under any circumstances. The best grocery store is Chedraui Selecto Norte. Private chef and tours: Our house manager is happy to organize a private chef or tours. Her fee is 20% of the cost payable directly to her ($100 US minimum charge). Extra cleaning: we are happy to provide extra cleaning during your stay if our staff schedule allows it. The fee is cost price of both cleaning and laundry. All extra services must be paid in advance.
