Mirabelle - A delightful stone cottage in Dordogne
Mirabelle
Description
Mirabelle is an attractively renovated 250 year cottage within 2 acres of gardens and woodland. Mirabelle was originally used to shelter horses that passed on the old coach road traversing from Hautefort to the old Monastery of Maumont. Paul and Anita live in the adjacent farmhouse alongside Treacle our dog, Norton and Enfield the goats and chickens. Mirabelle has direct access to over 100 kms of walking paths, our local lakes only a few moments away and local amenities a 5 minute drive. The space Mirabelle has now been welcoming guests for over a decade and constantly reviewed to have the highest standard of accommodation. Situated on the edge of a hamlet, with no direct neighbour, peace and tranquillity is guaranteed. The bedrooms situated downstairs provide cool sleeping conditions throughout the hot summer months. Also both have spectacular views over the valley to catch the rising sun. The light and open plan upstairs is refreshing and welcoming. Walking from your kitchen onto the sun terrace with your croissant reassures you have arrived on holiday. Numerous birds with their song, Hoopoe and Golden orioles to name but a few, can be heard whilst relaxing in the gardens. These experiences contribute to deliver your holiday expectations. Guest access Guests have a private parking area 10m from the gite. The gite is accessed by a short path to the kitchen door. Direct access is also available to both bedrooms on the lower level via the courtyard. The gite's decked terrace is furnished with table, chairs and sun loungers. From here a few short steps take you up onto the upper lawn and gardens where guests can relax privately in their own space. Here you will also find more sun loungers along with a drying line and areas of shade to relax out of the sun.
