The "Hut" in Banner Elk NC

The "Hut" is less than one mile from the red light in downtown Banner Elk. Only a fifteen minute walk or less than two minute drive will put you in the heart of this quaint little town. Less than half a mile to the local brewery and only a ten minute walk to the town park. The owners are on premises and very attentive to the needs of their guests. Those interested in hosting parties should look for other accommodations. Strict no pet policy. The space will only accommodate two guests. The space This cozy little studio apartment has most everything you will need on your trip to the mountains of WNC. It is attached to the owners home but has a separate entrance and the space is private for guests only. The apartment cannot be accessed from inside the owners home. It includes a small refrigerator and full size oven / stove. Queen sized bed and chest of drawers plus a full size closet. Fully equipped eat in kitchen and access to the family grill. Covered deck for storage of bicycles and other sporting equipment. Full sized hammock just outside the door to take a nap in the mountain air. Owners on site 24/7. For those interested in a party location, this type of activity is not acceptable by owners. Not pet friendly. Bookings for two adults only or one adult and a child twelve or older. If these rules are violated, the guests will be asked to leave. Other things to note Co-owner Sallie Woodring is a local photographer. She is happy for guests to view her photography and will provide discounted rates for guests purchases. Bernie is retired and is delighted to show guests around the family property. Guests are invited to pick blueberries, blackberries and apples on the property and Bernie will even provide you with a cutting from one of his many trees/plants. Deer are also on the property and guests may see as many as fourteen deer right outside the window of the hut early in the morning or late in the evening. Their spot is truly an oasis in the beautiful High Country of Western North Carolina. Located ten minutes from both Ski Beech and Ski Sugar, this is a perfect spot for skiers. The property is also only twenty-five minutes from Boone and twenty minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, this location is the perfect spot to get away from it all!
