Our house is located in the quiet area of Schinias, close to the best beaches in Attiki. Our visitors have access to the entire ground floor and the beautiful garden. Our house is the ideal place to be used as a base in order to explore the surrounding areas and Athens as well. The space Our house provided a stunning view. It's 5 minutes away from the protected beach of Schinias ( Natura 2000), by car. The nearest market - in Marathonas village- is in a 2 klm distance a largest market - in Nea Makri - is in a 10 klm distance. Also, in Nea Makri, you can find restaurants, taverns and bars. Guest access ~ 30' from the Aerport ~ 15' from Rafinas' port ~ 10' from Neas' Makris' centre and beaches ~ 45' from the centre of Athens Other things to note Sightseeing -Sanctuary of the Egyptian Gods It is a complex of numerous buildings dating back to 150-160 AD attributed to Herodes Atticus. Βesides the main sanctuary, a luxurious bath building has been excavated. The sanctuary was dedicated to Sarapis, an hellenized figure of god Osiris, and there were taken place the great feasts of Sarapis and Isis and their son Oros. -Marathon Archaeological Museum and Battlefield 4,8km It is located in Vrana Marathon, in an area, which also includes the burial mounds of the Middle Bronze Age (2000-1600 BC) and the so-called Tomb of Plataieon of the 5th c. B.C.The exhibition includes findings from the Neolithic to the late Roman period. -Marathon artificial lake 11,6km -Marathon run museum 8,3km The history of the Olympic marathons is presented, starting from 1896 to 2000.
