Enjoy the simplicity and beauty of the North Cascades! Our small and simple cottage is attached to the garage, but separate from the property’s main house. It has a full kitchen and bathroom, with a propane heater and range. The main room of the space has a queen bed with a closet and there is a twin size pull-out chair/bed for a third person. This space is on a property shared with our main house with a fenced yard. We have chickens, a cat, and two friendly dogs. The cottage has Wifi and TV. This cottage has a complete kitchen, ready to cook in with a medium sized refrigerator. There is a full bathroom with a stand up shower. The super comfortable queen sized Avocado Green Mattress can sleep two and there is a twin sized pull-out chair/bed in the space for a 3rd person, if needed. Various board games and books are available in the space for you to enjoy. This is a simple and cozy space, with wifi and a Roku TV. The cottage has its own patio that is connected/shared with the patio of the main house. We do have chickens on site with their fresh eggs provided for you to enjoy! Fresh ground coffee is also provided, as well as a french press and various cooking condiments. We have two friendly dogs, big and little, who we will mostly keep inside the main house during your stay. Being so close to the mountains, occasionally the power goes out in this area-if so, there is a lantern on the entry way shelf for your use. The fire extinguisher is located on the wall by the fridge, and there’s a small first aid kit in bottom drawer of kitchen. Note: If the power does go out, the range and heater will continue to work. We hope to welcome you for a comfortable getaway at the Silver Lake Road Cottage! The village of Maple Falls is quaint and easy to drive around. Parking for you is front row, right up against the garage with the entrance gate on your left as you arrive. We are available via wifi texting or email. We have spotty cell service in our area but the main house has a land line that we can be contacted at when we’re home. This cottage is located right in downtown Maple Falls adjacent to Maple Falls Park, the Maple Creek Trails, and all of the amenities that Maple Falls town has to offer. We are walking distance to Crossroads Grocery, River Roots Apothecary, Maple Fuels, Joe’s Fine Coffee, The Green Stop Marijuana Store, as well as Michoacana Mexican Food. Mt. Baker Ski Area is up the road as well as many hikes in the national forest. There is a town information center in Maple Falls as well as a ranger station just up the highway in the town of Glacier with more information. Having a vehicle is pretty key to accessing the beautiful opportunities in the area such as hikes, Mt. Baker Ski Area, and Silver Lake-just to name a few. All of Maple Falls’ amenities are available walking distance from the cottage. There isn’t cell service once you’re out here so it’s best if you plan ahead and take a peak at google maps to understand where we’re located.
