There is a fully equipped kitchen, including microwave, stove, oven and refrigerator if you're a "cook at home" sort, and it's only about 10 minutes drive from town if you prefer to sample the local night life. I am located on the Kitsap Peninsula about 20 minutes drive from scenic Bainbridge Island where there are several excellent restaurants and fun shopping. Bainbridge Island also features 7 local wineries, and both Bainbridge and Poulsbo have a multitude of brew pubs to explore. Poulsbo also has a nice main street (Front Street) with many local specialty shops as well as a beautiful waterfront boardwalk for a romantic stroll. Acres of trails are just minutes away. The Port Gamble Heritage Park Trail system is about a 5 minute drive from here, and offers several hundred acres of trails for walking, biking or horseback riding. Nearby Port Gamble has businesses where you can rent kayaks/canoes and explore the beauty of the Puget Sound. A trip to Seattle from here is as quick as a drive to the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal. A scenic 35 minute ferry ride puts you in the center of downtown, and a short walk to Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square and other local attractions. You can also take the monorail to Seattle Center to see the Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum and the Seattle Science Center. There is no shortage of great things to do in this very walkable city! My driveway is long and winds through the woods; the house is not visible from the road. There is free off street parking directly in front of the unit. Guests can walk the grounds and enjoy the lush flower and vegetable gardens (in season). A private patio is provided right out the back door of the apartment. I live on site and would be happy assist you (if I am not at work) if you have any needs that should arise. My cell number is provided in the guest book in the studio. This space is allergen free. I would appreciate keeping it that way by having my guests not use heavily scented products and respecting the NO PETS policy. No pets are allowed in the apartment. The neighborhood is quiet and off the beaten path, but not too far from local attractions. If you're headed to the area to attend a wedding, this is a very convenient location. I am just a short drive from the following popular wedding venues: Farm Kitchen Kingston House Red Cedar Farm Kiana Lodge Llama Rose Farm & Gardens Port Gamble Wedding & Events Center Hood Canal Vista & Pavillion I am close to everything but you definitely need a car. Taxi service will come here, but can be pricey. Biking is an option as well if you're so inclined. I have plenty of parking. The airport is about 1.5 hours travel from here. I have some movies, magazines, books and games for your pleasure while you're here. It's a very quiet space to enjoy, or enjoy local sights including shopping and restaurants (in downtown Poulsbo - about a 10 minute drive). There are many options for both hiking and mountain biking close by. I would be more than happy to direct you to your favorite local activities. Please note: - There is a smart TV in this rental. My internet is fast. I have provided a DVD player and a selection of movies. - An iron and a hair dryer are provided for your convenience. - Water is supplied from a well, and in the summertime may have a bit of sulfur odor. The shower and kitchen sink have a filter to handle the sulfur odor, and a Brita pitcher is provided if you prefer to filter the water before drinking. - This is a rural property, so I installed a Starlink dish. The internet can now handle most things. The speed is very fast most of the time.
