The 16 X 19 foot private studio, is located on the second story of our 120 year old farmhouse and has a private entrance and drive. It is equipped with its own kitchen, bathroom, balcony, queen bed, couch and closet. Our farmhouse is located on five scenic acres adjacent to our pottery studio and gallery. The space is cozy but feels roomy for two people with its vaulted wood ceiling and open concept. We do not have air conditioning because it is not typically needed. Door County usually cools off at night and has cool breezes. The studio does have a ceiling fan and we have a cooling fan set up when it’s warm. The kitchen comes equipped with a gas stovetop, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, microwave, sink, coffee maker, dishes, utensils and pots and pans. Guests have access to a parking area, side yard and private balcony. Guests will also have access to wi-fi and Netflix on the tv, but please realize the Internet stalls out occasionally. We work at home in our pottery studio and gallery which is located in the barn, granary, and artists studio out back, so we are available for questions anytime the business is open (10am-5pm) or by phone. Our home is located on a historic farmstead filled with gardens, fields of natural grasses and wildflowers, trees and beautiful views of the countryside. We are a short 1.3 miles east of the village of Egg Harbor where there are many unique shops, galleries, restaurants, a grocery store, beautiful harbor and a stunning beach with amazing sunsets. There is no public transportation, but it is a five minute bike ride into town. There are older children and pets on the premises but the rental unit is quite private and the surroundings are peaceful. The studio is attached to our home and we have a pottery gallery/studio out back which is open from 10-5 everyday but Sunday, so there is some activity, but for the most part, it is pretty quiet.
