Built in the center of an old tobacco dryer, modeled on our 18th century house, with exposed beams and lime walls, this quiet 50 m2 apartment offers all amenities. Join us on social media > lesechoirduried The space We have been living in Rossfeld for over 25 years. Originally from Haut-Rhin, we moved to Strasbourg for our studies and finally chose Ried for its central location in Alsace. Our property consists of an old house from 1789 typical of the Alsatian region, with lime walls and half-timbering. Barns were added around the house and, after the Second World War, a large tobacco dryer was built. Several barns have since disappeared but the dryer has remained intact and we have renovated it to keep all its original personality and put it in harmony with the house. We used as much as possible second-hand and recycled or local materials to build and furnish the accommodation: the desk is made from the furniture of the sewing machine of the great-grandmother, the library is made with an old window frame, the mirrors date from before the war, the sink comes from a destroyed house, the bar table is the door of a barn, the French window and the gate of the terrace are second-hand, the stone slabs of the terrace and the bathroom were recovered from a retired landscaper, the wood on the floor comes from the local sawmill, the beds (except the mattresses), tables, shelves, all the armchairs and even the toilets (except the seat of course) are second-hand!! etc etc... For us, nature is important and in the garden, a certain wild freedom persists: the trees are large and the fauna often present (hedgehogs, many birds, cats...). It's a cocoon that's almost not overlooked where we like to relax and recharge. Get to know us better: Noémie is a visual artist, her studio is in the front part of the dryer and some of her works (for sale) are presented in the apartment. Fred is an author, composer, performer, musician. Together we have been forming a musical duo since 2020: OUTED (come and discover us on platforms and networks!) which has already released 3 albums. We have been in love since 1991, we have two daughters, Luna and Maïa… and 3 cats (Moustique, Myrtille and Ciboulette) complete the picture! Welcome to our home! P.S. Access to an electrical outlet for exceptional and temporary recharging of your car is possible. The property gate is closed at night. • We welcome you with your pets but you remain responsible for them. Make sure they don't damage the apartment/garden and pick up/clean up their droppings. Please ensure that dogs do not climb on beds, armchairs and sofas and do not swim in the pool. Please also keep them on a leash if they are aggressive with strangers and when you walk outside in the village and surrounding paths. • The swimming pool area has a secure tarp but no barrier. It is 1.50 m deep with a large step and a staircase. The water is salty. • Some parts of the property are easily accessible to exploring children, not everything is double locked and secured (e.g. wood barn): children are your sole responsibility.
