Squirrel's End - Family Cottage

One of 3 fully furnished and equipped cottages, this eco-friendly property is sunny and tranquil. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed & another with 2 singles. It has a private patio onto the solar heated pool. A cot & high-chair is available. The kitchen is well equipped including a dish washer & washing machine. There is TV, secure wireless internet and laptop working areas, indoors and out. Set in a beautiful garden with large trees where birds and squirrels visit regularly. The space A beautiful, spacious cottage that opens onto the solar heated pool and patio where guests can relax and unwind. There is shade as well as sunny spaces set in a much-loved garden with large trees and flowering plants. Birds and butterflies visit the garden and there are rare bird sightings too. Air conditioning and heaters are not used as the space has been designed to maximise cross-ventilation in summer and has insulation to keep the space warm in winter. The 3 cottages on this property allow extended family/friends to be together yet have their privacy. The cottages can open onto a communal area if desired. If not, they remain separate and private. The cottages are eco-friendly and comply with local water requirements. The garden is irrigated with non-potable borehole water and grey water from the house. We are avid re-cyclers and work towards minimising landfill. There are showers in all the units which are more water-wise than baths. The plastic mugs in the bathrooms mean taps do not need to run when brushing your teeth and we use the eco-cycle when using the washing machine or dish washer. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire garden. There are reclining chairs, umbrellas and patio furniture. There is a portable barbeque for guests' use. The Loft has it's own deck with lovely views into the trees and onto the swimming pool and garden below. Other things to note Squirrel's End is perfectly situated to get to places of interest: 20 minutes to Muizenberg Beach, 10 minutes to the Constantia Wine Route, 5 minutes to Constantiaberg Medi-Clinic, 20 minutes to Cavendish Square Shopping Centre, 10 minutes to Blue Route Shopping Centre (& movies), several good restaurants and coffee shops within a 2km radius, 45 minutes to famous wine farms, 10 minutes to local wine farms. Just 2.8 km from Constantiaberg Medi-Clinic.
