Gite with Pool - Les Frenes

Situated in a quiet country hamlet, overlooking fields and woods ideal for walking and cycling. The Gite is rural and rustic in decor. Included in the cost all bedding and towels for use in the Gite. There is parking for a car. The pool which is unheated, 8m x 4m length and 1m x1.8m depth, is available from June ( or Mid May depending on the weather) until September. Please note that June to September minimum is 7 night booking from Saturday to Saturday The space Self contained Gite, that sleeps 4/6 people situated opposite owners house, with its own entrance and parking space. All bedding & towels included for use in the gite. Please supply towels for use around the pool It is let on a self catering basis, with kitchen area, including fridge, gas cooker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher and all equipped. There is a utility area, with a washing machine and larger fridge/freezer. Downstairs also has a shower & toilet. Whilst upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, master with double bed, and single which will pull out for a double. The other bedroom is a twin room, with 2 single beds. The upstairs bathroom, has a bath, toilet but no shower. We can also accommodate 2 further guests on a double fold up bed, which can be situated in the lounge area of the Gite. Guests will have sole use of the private swimming pool 8m x 4m & 1m x 1.8m from June (or May depending on weather) until September (please bring your own towels for use around the pool area). There is a terrace area where you can enjoy bbq's on the summer nights. Also during the summer months fresh produce will be available at a small cost. There is a welcome pack. We are about 20 minutes from Parthenay which is a lovely medieval town. You have Puy du Fou, is just over an 2 1/2 hrs away, which is well worth a visit, and even an overnight stay. Futuroscope is 1 1/2 hr, a theme park. La Rochelle, with lovely beaches is 1 1/2hr and has lovely fish resturants to visit. There are also several markets locally Parthenay is Wednesday, Bressuire Tuesday & Saturday. Niort Thursday and Saturday all day. For those that like to golf we have a golf course at Clubhouse, 79340 Les Forges, France, which is 45 minutes. Also a course at Chemin du Grand Ormeau, 79000 Niort, approx 40 minutes. Fishing there are several lakes in the immediate area. Unfortunately we have now had to introduce a 65.00 euro surcharge (per week) for wood & electricity used during the months of Mid September-end of April. Please also note that during high season June to September minimum booking is 7 days Guest access The Owners live on site so will be available at all times. Access to the gite is seperate from the main house, with a car parking area. Other things to note We are happy to accept bookings of less than 7 nights, up until April. Minimum nights stay is 3 nights. Wifi is available. We are more than happy to accept long term bookings, if you are in this area looking for property or working. Please contact us for further details
