A beautiful and quirky 100-year old colonial home with architectural details and antique furniture. Fully equipped kitchen. Walk-in tile shower Spacious bedrooms Large front porch for wine or afternoon tea. Please keep in mind that quartz, as durable as it is, it can be burned and cut, so please do not place hot pots on it and use cutting boards at all times. This old house has four spacious bedrooms and one full bathroom. Each bedroom is set up with very comfortable and firm beds which have 100 percent cotton sheets and down comforters. The kitchen has been recently renovated with quartz countertops, marble tiles and is well equipped with great tools, pots and appliances. The dining room has a cherry wood table which sits up to 10 people, and a grand antique mantle. The living room is set up with a comfortable couch, an antique chair and a grand piano. Guests can use the entire house with exception of the basement. I am usually on work trips, but my helper/gardener is around to maintain the property and work in the garden! If you need anything, she is there to help you! Casa la Victoria is conveniently located near the lake, about 1/2 mile from Oakledge park, two breweries, Zero Gravity and Queen City Brewery are just around the corner. There’s easy access to the downtown area, Church Street and the Burlington waterfront Here is some information regarding your stay Please pass the following information to all the members in your party. The kitchen: The kitchen has recently been renovated with quartz countertops and marble backsplash tile. PLEASE do not place hot containers: pots, baking dishes, etc. directly on the counters, it would burn it. Please also use cutting boards to cut even a lime. BE AWARE that if any part of the counter is ruined, you would have to pay for it. About $4,000 just for the island alone. The doors: Make sure the kitchen door is shut tight so the wind doesn’t open it and the heat goes out. When you go out or to bed, please latch the front door and lock the kitchen door. I am leaving a key for the back/kitchen door under the blue crate milk Shoes: No shoes in the house We like to maintain the wood floors in good condition and the rugs as clean as possible, so please do not wear shoes in the house at all. We keep the shoes out on the back porch. Recycling/Compost: Vermont law requires households to recycle and to compost food scraps. There is a large blue bin in the breezeway for the recycling. Please use that. The small square blue recycle container is used only for cans and bottles. I know this is not very convenient, but it is the law, and I would like not to have to go through your garbage to separate recyclable materials. A big thank you on this. FURNITURE: There is a lot of antiques and high quality furniture. With this mind, please use coasters when placing a cold drink on the tables, night tables, or dressers. Do no place wet towels on the bed posts. Use the couch and chairs to sit down not to throw yourself into it. TOWELS: Please don’t use the white towels to wipe makeup off or clean other things that may stain the towels. I don’t have commercial washers or equipment to clean these. I have had to throw a lot of towels. NO OPEN FIRES: Burlington City doesn’t allow open fires, that includes fire pits in ground and contained receptacles. NO SMOKING There is no smoking on the property at all and definitely not in the house. There is no access to the basement. It is not suitable for guests.
