The Bird & Bough apartment near Zion National Park is a unique, artsy space w/ a private outdoor upper balcony. Large windows in the open loft style living area reveal amazing views, a bird habitat & create a bright, sunny space. The kitchen and bathroom are compact, but totally functional. One of two private bedrooms has a king size bed, while a newly added bedroom houses a queen size bed. There is also a queen size pull out sofa sleeper in the living room! Perfect for your group of 4 - 6! This apartment is nice & open with lots of bright, natural light coming in from the large front windows. One bedroom houses an awesome California king size bed, smart TV & barn style doors giving those in that room the option for more privacy. There is also a newly added room just inside the front door of the apartment. This room contains a cozy queen size bed and small closet space. The couch in the living room pulls out to a comfortable 2 person queen size sofa sleeper bed and we have an extra queen size Murphy bed that can be pulled down from a built-in armoire near the dining area. If you choose to utilize this bed & space, there are curtains that can be pulled and a couple mobile screens that allow for customizing the privacy of the area. There is a dining room table for gathering around & a compact kitchen space. The bathroom is a "wet room" covered completely in tile with a modern shower area & a large tub for those that like a nice soak. (Please note that the small stains in the bathtub near the drain are permanent chemical stains from the time of installation, not dirt.) Out the front door you're welcome to enjoy the upper deck space, complete with table & chairs and your own private grill. Take the outdoor stairway down to the yard to enjoy the magical gardens, fire pit & various alcoves and outdoor seating areas. *If you need a crib/highchair or iron & ironing board - please contact us & let us know ahead of time the items you require so we can have them in your unit, ready to go for you.* The "Bird & Bough" has a private balcony deck space just outside the front door that is perfect for your morning cup of coffee or tea, grilling up a "home away from home" cooked dinner, or simply taking in the amazing views of Zion National Park that surround us. Our guests also have access to the large backyard including all of the gardens, seating areas & fire pit. The shared laundry room is on the north side of the main house & available for our guests to use anytime. There is convenient access to all the amenities you may need in town - take Big Springs Road north to SR-9, then east to find groceries, restaurants, gift and coffee shops, galleries, the post office & the south entrance to Zion National Park. Taking Big Springs road south connects you to Canyon Springs Road, near various hotels and will lead you to the Switchback "complex" which consists of 3 different restaurants, a large gift shop & a lovely little liquor store. Continuing south leads to a duck pond and the river, with access to the bike path. Go further west for additional restaurants, gift & rock shops, another gas station & a city park located near the river with even more trails. Our team of hosts are on-site &/or very close by and are available for any & all reasonable requests from our guests. Airbnb messenger is the easiest way to get through to us, unless we've exchanged personal phone numbers ahead of time! Charming, quiet, unique neighborhood with various trees and gardens great for walking around & getting used to the area. Just minutes to shuttles, shops, restaurants, etc. We have on-site free parking & are within walking distance of the free public shuttle system for Springdale with connecting shuttles into Zion National Park. Private guest access and parking is just off Big Springs Road. It's just a short walk to the local shuttle stops for in-town Springdale service with connections to the shuttles inside Zion National Park. Please note that due to various circumstances involving location of the property, the internet connection can often be hindered. We are in a valley almost completely surrounded by tall hillsides, steep slopes and 2,000 - 4,000 ft. cliffs and peaks. The canyon also has temperature inversions in the morning and evening, as rock and air temperatures heat up and cool down at different rates. These changes can cause breezes & gusts that may move or damage dishes & other equipment. From time to time, we also have incredibly spectacular storms and thunder showers. While these are usually awesome to witness (soothing, cool breezes on warm summer days & nights, beautiful purple tones in the sky, and deep saturated red colors that seem to make the rocks glow), they can also wreak havoc on internet service and create power outages as well as cause flash flooding. If water accumulates around the unit, please exercise caution. If power outages occur or you experience internet issues, please be patient and let us know as soon as possible so we may do our best to solve the issues, provide help and give support. The usual fixes often help with internet issues and we will do everything within our power to keep you connected.
