The Hood Arms is an historic 17th century coaching inn situated in the village of Kilve on the edge of the Quantock Hills. The inn is steeped in history, being on the route of the Coleridge Way and close to the Jurassic coastline and beaches of Somerset, halfway between Bridgwater and Minehead and very accessible for Taunton, or as a base to explore Exmoor. Our newly refurbished accommodation is superbly appointed and features a number of superking, king, double and twin rooms. The space Room 1 - This is one our two superior rooms. Room 1 features a top of the range king-size Hypnos bed and garden view. The generous sized ensuite, which is almost as big as the bedroom itself, includes a freestanding roll top bath, which is just crying for someone to over indulge and relax in, possibly with a bottle of bubbles. If you don’t have time for a bath, there is also a huge walk in rainfall shower. Ideal for those nights when you want to treat yourself and simply relax and unwind! Room 6 - This is our other superior room but this time with a road view overlooking the picturesque village of Kilve. Room 6 features a top of the range super king-size Hypnos bed with pull out underbed so can be used as a family room for two adults and one child. The ensuite is a good size and includes a beautiful freestanding roll top bath, which is again crying for someone to over indulge and relax in, possibly with a bottle of bubbles. The only problem is that the large rainfall shower looks so inviting you might have trouble deciding, which to go for first! Ideal for those romantic nights away or a family of three! All our rooms are fitted with telephones, flat screen TV, hairdryers, kettle with tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe, dressing table, bedside cabinets and lamps. We even supply a set of ear plugs just in case the noise from the pub below is apparent should you decide on an earlier night so as not to disturb your good night’s sleep induced by our wonderful Hypnos beds! With the exception of room 8 all rooms could accommodate a z-bed for a child if required and requested in advance. Ironing board and iron are both available on request as is access to a direct dial phone.
