Other reviews: Tracey Bamber & Family. From England. August 2024 An incredibly beautiful house Decor and furnishings were tip top and beautiful. So many gorgeous places to sit outside - to read, to eat, to snooze! The little pool was a glorious relief from the heat of the day…. It’s a good walk to and from gaios, quite steep in places, but we thoroughly enjoyed the reward of excellent coffee and juice each morning when we got there! Gaios is beautiful with loads of amenities- bakeries, butchers, supermarkets. The local support team of Adam and Keith were flawless, as was the lovely Leonora who cleaned part way through our stay. Joanne has created a stylish and comfortable home away from home and we loved it! Thank you Joanne! Hannah Etherington & Family. From England. August 2024 Having a lovely time! We’ve been having a lovely time on Paxos, and at the house, thank you. It is a lovely place! Have very much enjoyed the views from the house. Thank you for all your help and super information about the house and island. Kristen Hilton & Family. From Australia. July 2024 StoneHouse Delight We had such a beautiful 6 days at Paxos StoneHouse. The house is stocked with everything you need, has exquisite views over the sea and peaceful bedrooms with very comfy beds and pillows. Our host was extremely helpful and attentive. The location is perfect. We did not want to leave. Steven Cohen & Family. From South Africa. July 2024 No dissappointments I thought the accomodation delivered everything we expected. The location is also great - 5 minute scooter ride from the main town where all the action is (like if you need to go to the supermarket etc.). Although no view of the sea - it never mattered - the olive trees are just as nice. Beaches are also very close. Lucy Bekker & Family. From Cape Town, South Africa. June 2024 Cool retreat from the busy town below! This is a wonderful house and a happy and cool retreat from the busy town below. Well hosted, well equipped with everything from beach towels to decent kitchen knives, lovely linen and fresh herbs in the garden. It felt like a luxury retreat and a welcoming home all in one. Tish Potter & Family. From London, England. August 2023 A wonderful place to stay! A stunning house, beautifully renovated, on the most perfect island. The house has everything you could need.. the decor is stylish and it was spotless. Joanne went out of her way to help us and couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. I thoroughly recommend PaxosStoneHouse for a truly relaxing holiday. Zoe Lewis & Family. From London, England. August 2023 Don't hesitate. Just book! From all the help that Joanne gave us before our trip with sea transfers, taxi's, restaurant bookings, boat hire and car hire, to the warm welcome from Adam and Keith when we arrived - our holiday at Paxos StoneHouse was one of our best yet. The villa is stunningly decorated, super clean and really well equipped. It is a short (but steep!) drive from Gaios which is very useful when you want to go out in the evenings, and as Paxos is so small we found the villa is brilliantly located to get anywhere on the island in a max of 15 mins. I did a post on everywhere we went at @theclevertraveller if it is of interest, and we can't thank Joanne enough for helping us have a truly memorable holiday - thank you! We will be back! x Giovana Ruaro & Family. From Italy / England. August 2023 Comfort and Bliss. Loved every moment Beautiful house, kitchen had everything we needed and more, super comfy beds and pillows, a cool and quiet oasis during peak-summer heatwave. Separate ensuite downstairs meant my parents had their own private area but were fully integrated with us. Perfect. Honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. One thing to note is that the road to the house is very steep and I recommend getting an automatic car. Andrew Kingston & Family. From Cape Town, South Africa. July 2023 A beautiful villa in a quiet setting, overlooking Paxos The attention to detail in this "home from home" makes for a special visit. Joanne is a superb host and makes the stay so much more effortless. Her recommendations also made a huge difference to the quality of our holiday. I would highly recommend this villa. Paxos is a beautiful place to visit. Nikki Roberts & Family. From London, England. July 2023 Home from a lovely first visit to Paxos! We are just home from a lovely first visit to Paxos. Joanne couldn’t have been more helpful and kind so a big thank you! I would definitely say a car is a neccesity but there are lovely beaches and restaurants all pretty close by. A visit to Anti Paxos is a must, the beaches are heavenly:) Sarah & Simon. From Weston Super Mare, England. June 2023 Definitely recommend - you will not be disappointed! A beautiful Oasis! We have been hearing about this villa for a few years now and it exceeded our expectations. We really wanted to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings and we certainly managed to do that. Absolutely beautiful location and the Villa itself is a little gem. It was like being in paradise with everything you needed. Spacious, super clean with everything to hand. Really well thought out with breathtaking views. We were two couples celebrating our impending 50th birthdays. We are super fussy about where we stay and we would definitely return and certainly hope to do so. You have glorious views from the various outside seating areas. You have a plunge pool, outdoor fresco dining as well as an outdoor barbecue pit. There is a separate studio which would benefit from its own coffee machine and couple of chairs, but apart from that everything was absolutely perfect. Well done to the host. Marc & Jane Sanders. From Taunton, England. June 2023 Another great stay at the beautiful Paxos Stonehouse! We just got back from another lovely trip to Paxos, staying at the beautiful Paxos Stonehouse. The house is set in a lovely location with sea views, it is furnished so nicely, very modern and stylish. This is our 4th stay and we always find it very comfortable and ideal for getting to Gaios, which is 3 mins drive away, or 30 mins walk. Joanne is a great host, really good comms and lots of helpful hints and tips for things to do and see on the island, as well as places to eat, car hire, boat hire, info on crossings from Corfu, etc. She makes the whole thing so easy! This place is highly recommended Raquel. From London, England. May 2023 Charming villa, definitively worth a stay A charming villa with everything you need for the perfect holiday escape. Joanne was the most amazing host and so attentive - from the meet and greet, to the food recommendations through to tips and advice to ensure we experienced the best of the island! A little piece of paradise - I truly had the most amazing stay and will definitely be back :) Mo & Shireen McWhite. From Hoedspruit, South Africa. May 2023 Book Paxos Stone House for your next Holiday! Lots of small things add up to one of the most memorable experiences! An introduction to Stefanos at Fougaros Rentals, a wonderful car hire company and excellent directions to the PSH meant arriving at PSH with ease. Paxos StoneHouse is a bit off the beaten track and the upgraded house pays tribute to the island’s heritage and surrounds. The house itself is clean and fully equipped with everything you need and more. Cute frames explain the water and general info around the house. A cold beer in the fridge and tea for hubby. A good night’s rest on comfortable beds. The pool was perfect for the hot days! And sun loungers to watch the sunset or a cosy nook to catch up on a book. My high school friend joined us from the UK. As South Africans' we loved that we could have a good old braai on the deck. Mozzie lights are provided. Joanne, our host provided us with so many great recommendations from Coffee at Deep Blue (Gaios) and Roxy’s (Laggos) to multiple dinner stops and the general requirements superette, bakery (Fournos), wine shops and where to get fresh fish! Walking to the arch is a must! Sunset at the Garage at Emiritis is a must and the cocktails are good! I would recommend: Thelasa Tours – Boat Cruise – more than we bargained for – a trip around the island including Antipaxos, multiple swim stops and lunch. Snorkel Safari with Angelos – Lakka Paxos Scuba – another great experience. I’ve typed this while looking for tickets for Greece 2024! Angie & Rachelle From London, England. May 2023 Paxos Stone House is good for the soul! Paxos Stone House is an idyllic retreat on the top of a hill above Gaios. It has been gently renovated in the style of the island and offers an incredible place to exhale and slow down. It is a home away from home with all the conveniences you need, in a picturesque setting. We had the most wonderful time there and will be back for sure! Ollie Castle l England l October 2022 This is the perfect property for family and / or friends to enjoy Paxos. The beautiful house is tucked away in the hills just a short drive from the local amenities and hotspots further afield. Thoughtfully set up and laid out with an emphasis on making the most of what Paxos has to offer. The host, facilities and location made for a perfect relaxing holiday. Paxos StoneHouse leaves no stone left unturned and I would thoroughly recommend. Nancy Way l South Africa l September 2022 We were lucky enough to visit Paxos and Paxos Stonehouse recently with family and friends. It far outweighed our expectations. Absolutely gorgeous stone villa decorated beautifully in a very peaceful area that is close enough to town. I would recommend hiring scooters or quad bikes to explore the island's many stunning beaches, restaurants and bars..such fun !!. Joanne is a superb host who goes out of her way to make sure you enjoy the island of Paxos and Paxos Stonehouse ad much as she does. Definitely hope to return. Caroline Huber l England l August 2022 The Paxos Stone house is a stunning little villa! Set in a very quiet spot amongst peaceful olive groves, (up a very steep track) Stunning views out to sea. The villa has many levels and places to sit, just so relaxing. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautifully done, especially the master bedroom. You can see a lot of love and effort has gone into this beautiful recent renovation. Only 5 mins drive to Gaios, which has many wonderful little tavernas. The pool is only small but didn’t matter as we were out everyday and hired a boat from Gaios. Laurent Chaudeurge l France l August 2022 The house is well situated at less than 5 minutes by car of Gaios, the biggest port of the island As its name says, the house is built with old white stones which give it a lot of cache. It is beautifully decorated. We enjoyed a lot staying there and we highly recommend staying at Paxos Stonehouse if you come and visit Paxos for a few days or weeks Michelle Mathieson l England l August 2022 It's a lovely place to spend time, both inside and out. We liked being in such a quiet location and the local walks were lovely. Easy to get to Gaios and some great local beaches. Keith [The local host] was great, super friendly. Highly recommend. Gilles Elliot l England l July 2022 It’s contemporary and sensitive design is well done and it was clean, bright and inviting inside and out; the photos tell a thousand words and are an accurate depiction of the accommodation. Joanne has thought of all the details to make a short or long stay convenient, her exhaustive instructions and recommendations are great for first time visitors and Keith (who met us) was engaging and provided additional helpful insight. Added touches which we appreciated included the supply of separate towels for both the shower and the beach, plenty of sitting spaces indoors and out, all the necessary kitchen utensil and white goods, plus Tupperware and a Cool Box (plus freeze blocks) for long days out at the beach or on a boat. WiFi is good, and there are extenders to the bedrooms and poolside. The added bonus was a Nespresso machine; fortunately we had plenty of our own capsules for a portable device (but they can be bought in the supermarket too). The Stonehouse is a short but conveniently distance from Gaios, close enough to pop in but with the remoteness to feel you have escaped to the country, a car is recommended but walking is possible. We definitely recommend a stay here and would love to return. Thrass Papadimitriou l Germany l July 2022 Unashamedly wonderful! We loved every minute we spent in the house and its outdoor terraces and spaces!! Bridget Williams l South Africa l July 2022 We had a wonderful return visit to Paxos Stonehouse after discovering it in 2019. We spent 10 days enjoying the wonderful decor, gorgeous setting and lovely pool. Jo is a wonderfully helpful owner and together with Adam looked after us beautifully again. The house is charming and very well equipped and it was a joy to spend another 10 days in this little piece of heaven! PS - We had the most wonderful time at Paxos StoneHouse again! It feels like our Paxos home from home now and we absolutely love it. We will be back in a heartbeat if we come to Paxos again! Thanks for being such a wonderful host and helping us with many of our travel bookings again. We will certainly keep on recommending your special place to other people. Best wishes, Bridget Peter Van Staden l Belgium l July 2022 In the space of 2 months, I visited Paxos twice and stayed at the StoneHouse both times. Perfect spot for a getaway! My partner and I spent days at the ocean, took morning dips in the pool, explored the towns on our rented scooter, and had BBQs outside on the terrace. This house has everything you need if you want to stay in, and it is a 5-minute ride to the town where you can eat local or shop local. The host is extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend making this spot your preferred accommodation option when visiting Paxos. Andrew Kingston l South Africa l June 2022 This was our first time to Paxos although we have stayed in many Greece islands over the years. The accommodation was beautifully presented with many little extra comforts that made the stay very enjoyable. The villa is close to Gaios and so makes an ideal base to explore the island. Joanne who owns the villa was extremely helpful in a range of issues that made our stay so much more pleasurable, from recommending trips, to restaurant selections etc. The villa itself is in a quiet location which is ideal, whilst still being closely positioned to the main town. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and Paxos as a destination choice Matthew Cotton l England l June 2022 It was my first time visiting Paxos and while I was there I stayed at the lovely Paxos StoneHouse for the duration of 2 weeks. The villa is situated in a lovely tranquil part of Gaios in the hills and as soon as you arrive you get a lovely homely feel. The place is beautifully decorated, very spacious with great views and most importantly is immaculate in terms of cleanliness. The owner Joanne was very warm and welcoming as well as super helpful with any queries or info we required. We had a great experience and there was not one thing we were unhappy with. We would definitely recommend staying here if you decide to come to Paxos, and we will definitely be back in the future. Megan Horrocks l England l June 2022 Joanne’s home is one of the most stunning places I have ever stayed! It is so tranquil and pure bliss! It has the most incredible views and the sunset was just absolutely gorgeous from the house. We had lovely BBQ’s in the evening while the sun set and the sunrise in the morning is just breath taking! Paxos is such a wonderful island and getting round on a bike and exploring is just amazing from beach bars to restaurants! It’s a pretty special place! 10/10 you won’t be disappointed in Paxos StoneHouse and the island all together! Read all reviews on TripAdvisor Registration Details 00000148535
