The space This is a wheel chair accessible unit, in a quiet building, beautifully furnished and truly equipped for short and long stays. There are several sports activities available nearby, such as kitesurfing, water biking, kayaking, cycling, skydiving, golfing, fishing, snorkelling. If you are one to exercise at the gym you may want to visit the well equipped Buganvilia gym within a 5 minute walk. There is also a modern municipal sports centre within 2 minute walk from the apartment, by the beach and camping site, where you can attend swimming and hydrogimnastics classes in an warm indoors pool. The sports centre also offers tennis and basketball courts, and soccer field. The nighlife in alvor is vibrant, there´s a good variety of restaurants, bars and pubs within walking distance from the apartment building. Alvor is a really safe place at all hours of the day and night! You can take your little ones to play in the children's playground around the corner from the apartment. Across from it is the Alvor Municipal Market, it opens daily in the morning, has fresh local produce, organic products and fresh fish of the day. On Sundays the Ria promenade becomes a farmers market from 9:00 am to 12h00 pm. Here you can buy local organic foods, cheeses, butter, vegetables, spices, jams, cakes, local flower honeys, traditional foods, etc. Alvor village is a great place to visit by foot and has beautiful hiking trails to be explored. There is a local library, postal office, pharmacy, supermarket, bottle store, ATM machines and foreign exchange shop within 1-4 minute walk. The Algarve private hospital is within 1 minute drive, it is a state of the art local hospital that provides services friendly to English speakers. If you like some real spa treating, visit the Monchique medicinal thermal waters, in the Monchique mountains. It´s a great site to visit, even if you don't book a treatment or stay. Its only a 20 minute drive In Algarve there are a few extreme water parks for the children´s amusement, and adults alike! There are a variety of companies around selling those tickets as well as offering cruises, quad biking and other fun experiences (there is one in the apartment building premises) Algarve has many attractions and a lively sports and cultural scene, its surely a place to enjoy thoroughly and return to.
