Stay in the almshouse. The renovated wing of the presbytery from 1859 is a charming, fully equipped and cozy holiday home for 2 to 5 people. The perfect base to explore Haspengouw, located in one of the finest and smallest villages of Flanders. Fully equiped for expats or a shorter or longer stay because of professional reasons. The space The hospice is the annex building of the old presbytery, located in the largest fruit-growing region of Western Europe. It has served as a relief center for the poor and needy of Mettekoven, later as a town-hall and as a permanent location for clubs. The hospice itself is a renovation / reconstruction of 1859. The hospice is several decades older. Open kitchen with dishwasher, stove, microwave, Senseo and normal coffee machine, toaster, refrigerator, freezer, kettle, oven, washing machine, etc. Dining room with large old oak table Living room with TV and Telenet cable subscription, DVD player, radio-CD player Additional cots and highchairs are provided. The front yard of the presbytery, with garden chairs and table, is available to the guests. An ideal place to enjoy an aperitif or breakfast. Wood stove: we provide one basket of wood and you can buy extra. First floor: 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with three single beds (if needed an extra folding bed can be placed in the place inbetween the two bedrooms, not ideal but for those who want it is a possibility), extra toddler beds available, bathroom with a large shower, storage space. Guest access The house stands against the presbytery of Mettekoven, but is completely separated. The front garden of the presbytery is at the disposal of the guests. Garden table and chairs are available. Bicycles can be safely stored in our garage, covered and behind a closed gate. For electric cars, two public charging points are available in the village square (25 metres). Other things to note Dishwasher, stove, freezer, Senseo and normal coffee machine (pads bring your own), toaster, kettle, oven, etc. Bed linen and kitchen towels included. Bad linen to bring your own. 1 extra folding bed available Extra toddler beds available A double bed, three single beds and a folding bed upon request.
