Pool House in the Pocono's

Recently renovated "Housekeeping Cottage" with 1 bedroom with queen sz. bed, full private bath, full kitchen w cooking utensils, dishes, full stove, microwave ,toaster , coffee pot & refrigerator, living room, cable TV, wifi, heat, & air conditioning. Just steps from 14 x24 in ground back yard pool w private patio out the back door .Nestled in the woods with panoramic views of abundant wildlife . Minutes from Lake Wallenpaupack , Delaware River, Bethel Woods and, Pocono Attractions. The space Our Pool House has turned into a very comfortable and friendly little housekeeping cottage. Being secluded, about an 1/8th of a mile off the main road up a dirt road, it abounds with local flora and fauna. Don't be surprised if you enjoy your morning coffee while watching a family of deer walk by. You may also see several species of birds and end just sitting and watching the humming birds all day by the pool. This is a perfect stop and drop, or total decompress area. The Pool House has a 1 bedroom with a new Queen Size bed, 1 dresser and closet, 1 full bath, cottage with a full kitchen including basic cooking supplies and utensils, in the great room area. There is a full size sofa ,non-reclining easy chair, and pot belly stove in the great room. There is a lp gas range and microwave, plus table and chairs for two. It is alongside of the main house with its own free parking area and a private patio out the back door. There is a gas heater in the main room, and an AC unit in each room except the bath. We have well water and the hot water is gas . We offer free WI-FI and Cable TV but, no HBO or Showtime. The cell phone reception is better than average. There is one set of linens supplied per visit per week and, bathroom towels 2x per week . Guest must bring their own beach towels to use by the pool & for any water activities. Security deposit will deducted for loss or damage to bathroom towels. There is also a gas grill on site and a fire pit to relax by in the evening. Guests are responsible for their own safety at all times and in all areas of the homestead. There are several fire extinguishers and water hoses in and around the cabin as well as several smoke alarms, a Carbon Monoxide detector, and LP gas alarm. This cabin is part of a working hobby farm in the country. As a working hobby farm,we have donkeys ,cows,& chickens. They are all very friendly but they are farm animals. They make noise, smell, attract insects & act like farm animals. Several different areas of the property are always under renovation. This should not interfere with the peace and tranquility of our guests. Guest access Guests have access to our family pool and pool area ,a gas bar-b-que grill , patio chairs by the pool and, covered open air patio out the back door or the Pool House that offers the feeling of privacy. We also provide chairs for your convenience beside the fire pit. Guest are welcome to enjoy all the property has to offer even just taking your morning coffee to the grape arbor or a walk around the property on one of our short walking trails to enjoy the wildlife. There is a detailed guestbook on this link & in the Pool House but, please feel free to ask your host for a list of things to do in the area like hiking, canoeing and kayaking or rafting down the Delaware, fall leaf peeping or taking in a concert or fall farmers market @ Bethel Woods. There are also lots of other enjoyable activities in the area. Sightseeing, Antiquing, Wine tasting areas, Leaf viewing, Appalachian Trail, High Point State Park, Delaware State Forest, Delaware Water Gap National Park, Shohola Falls, Dingmans Falls, and Bushkill falls. Eagle and bird watching. Fishing, and hunting, PA State Game land rifle range, ATV Trails. Other things to note *****There is a 3 night minimum on all holiday weekends*****. Cleaning fees and security deposits apply. Security: The area is secluded and personal security is not an issue . There are locks on the doors and there will be a key on the key hook in the kitchen. There will be a $25.00 lost key fee should you not return it when you leave. The entire property is also secured with ADT security system. This is our home and has been our family homestead since 1979.
