King's Cottage Uralla

Relax in a slice of Uralla's history. King's Cottage, circa 1886 has been lovingly restored and renovated, offering guests the charm of yesteryear, coupled with modern day conveniences. Each bedroom features a period gas flame fireplace, as well as the bathroom where you can lay back in the bath gazing in to the fire as you relax. The cottage also features gas central heating throughout and an expansive sunroom/dining and lounge area has its own dedicated wood burner, for those cosy evenings. The space There is a modern fully functional, new kitchen with electric, ceramic cooktop and oven, plus microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. In addition, a washing machine, clothes line, iron and ironing board are available for your convenience. During the warmer months, meals can be enjoyed at the large outdoor table and chairs in the rear, private garden or alternatively at the table and chairs on the western verandah. Guest access All areas of the property are available to guests to enjoy, including the spacious garden and outdoor eating areas or just sit back and relax under cover of the verandah with a cool drink. Should you have children accompanying you on your visit, there is plenty of space in the grassed grounds for play. A new BBQ has been installed during May 2020 available for our guests to enjoy in the garden setting. If opening the French doors or front door, please ensure that they are secured using the cabin hooks provided to minimise the risk of slamming. We recommend the door between the kitchen and lounge is left closed whilst preparing meals to minimise cooking odours to the rest of the house. Keys are available in coded keysafe, adjacent to the hot water service at the rear of the dwelling. All locks are common keyed, double turn deadlocks. This means that to unlock doors, turn the key in the lock TWICE anti clockwise and TWICE clockwise to re-lock those doors again. Please ensure ALL doors are locked, all lights, heated towel rails, electric blankets, central heating, gas fireplaces (if used) are turned OFF at check-out before returning the house key to the keysafe Other things to note Due to our limited medical resources in the New England region, we must insist that our guests are double vaccinated prior to arrival. If that is not the case, we will have to respectfully decline your booking. Rubbish removal is done by council EARLY Wednesday morning. If rubbish and recycling bins require emptying, they can be wheeled to the curb side, ideally on Tuesday evening. LPG is refilled regularly, for the hot water, central heating and gas fireplaces. In the unlikely event that the main 200 Kg gas cylinder runs out, a 90 Kg back-up cylinder can be turned on by screwing the yellow knob on the outlet valve anti-clockwise.
