Enjoying close proximity to Hout Bay harbour, Kirstenbosch Gardens, Groot Constantia, Camp's Bay, Chapman's Peak and the bustling city centre both nature lovers, adventure enthusiasts and cosmopolitan travellers will find an exciting array of activities to choose from. The space Waterland's expansive grounds ensure each self-catering cottage is secluded yet beautifully blended into its natural landscape of towering oak trees, scampering squirrel and glorious birdlife. Set overlooking the water and fruit orchards, Orchid Cottage offers modern fittings that bring together both comfort and relaxation in a display of classic interiors. Fully self-catering, Orchid Cottage features a modern kitchenette and its own braai facilities on the shaded patio. Pantry essentials and a selection of treats have been stocked (at an extra cost) for the convenience of guests arriving late. An itemised price list is available in-room. Breakfast and al fresco meals can be delivered by special arrangement. Guests are invited to collect a bunch of selected greens for the table from the vegetable garden shed where an honesty box is provided. For wine lovers and culinary enthusiasts, hosts Grant and Silvia are available to provide in-depth recommendations and advice on local eateries and wine farms serving the best of South African fare. Guest access Guests are invited to enjoy the pool area, children's play area and jungle gym, the gardens and soccer field as well as the public access walks over and around the adjoining river and weir where swimming is permitted. There is an activity hall and music studio on the property which may be used by prior arrangement for business meetings or social celebrations. Please feel free to book a haircut, colour, blow wave or gentleman’s shave at the hair salon situated at the main house. Other things to note Lavender Cottage is an open plan design with a private en suite bathroom with ample space for two adults and two children. We are able to customise all our rooms depending on your specific requirements. We are family orientated, easy going and sport and animal lovers and invite you to share our family property with us and our five dogs, in the heart of Hout Bay's lush valley, situated between the Cape mountain range and the Atlantic sea.
