Villa Caterina is a beautiful seaside residence with direct beach access, located within the exclusive and private village of Santo Stefano. Both outside and inside the house, the unique and very special style of its designer, the architect Busiri Vici, has been preserved. My mother-in-law Caterina, known as Rina, was the first owner and pervaded the house with all her love and personality, furnishing it with typical Sardinian things. The space Facing the sea is a large outdoor courtyard covered by bamboo canes, called "lolla," in which there is a large fireplace (and a wood-burning oven) usually much appreciated and used by our guests for barbecues. Hidden in the olive tree of the garden in front of the "lolla" is the outdoor shower, also facing the sea. The third bedroom of the villa has a separate entrance and consists of an annex with an en-suite bathroom and a small covered outdoor area with a table. An external staircase leads to the rooftop terrace from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire area. At Villa Caterina you can experience a relaxing and peaceful vacation. Bed linens and towels must be agreed upon with the Host. There is a pellet stove in the house that heats the whole main house when needed and requires daily refilling of pellets to be bought or booked in advance and paid for separately. The annex has an electric heater that works well. Other things to note It is important to respect the separate waste collection times displayed in the kitchen. Each bag must be placed in a predetermined location the night before by 7:00 p.m. inside special containers. Villasimius takes recycling very seriously and does not accept mixed waste.
