The space A remarkable holiday home resting in the heart of Holmfirth, is this stone-built property, The Porthole. Boasting characterful touches throughout, families and friends will be drawn to this escape, perfect for assessing the delights of the glorious landscapes of the West Yorkshire countryside, with plenty of walking routes to choose from. On the left-hand side of the property is a driveway with spaces of up to 3 cars, which is highly sought-after in this central Holmfirth location. Upon entering the property is a spacious hallway, following a luxury herringbone flooring into the well-appointed kitchen with all the essentials needed for a short break, including a double oven, built-in Siemens coffee machine, dishwasher and a breakfast bar. Into the dining area is a long dining table with enough dining area for 10 guests. To the left of the kitchen area is a downstairs shower room, useful for washing off before and after your soaks in the outdoor hot tub. Towards the other end of the ground floor is a lounge, complete with a large sofa, three armchairs, a Smart TV and a gas fire for a cosy night in. Open the patio doors to access the enclosed garden, with an AstroTurf lawn, a charcoal BBQ, and a decking with a luxurious hot tub. Outdoor furniture included is a wooden picnic table, and four retractable sun lounges for enjoying the lunch in the sunshine. Climb the stairs to the second storey of the building, there are four bedrooms, a family bathroom and an ensuite bathroom. At the end of the landing, discover the master bedroom, hosting a sumptuous king-size bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, enhanced with underfloor heating, a rainfall walk-in shower and a bath. The other three bedrooms consist of a double bed with a Smart TV, a family room with a double and single bed, and a triple bunk bedroom, ideal for little ones. When you are ready to explore, Holmfirth boasts of many quirky and independent shops, pubs and restaurants. If you are interested in live music and shows, venture down to the well known Music Venue, Picturedrome. Guest access A driveway of up to 3, maybe 4 cars at a very tight squeeze is available. For any other additional cars, there is on street parking but this cannot always be guaranteed. Other things to note Up to two dogs are welcome, but are not permitted on the upstairs floor. I'm sorry, due to allergies, we cannot accept cats. We provide a high chair and child safety stair gate. We can also provide a travel cot, however, we do not provide bedding. Due to steps at the entrance and a steep stair case, this property is not suitable for those with mobility issues. Weekday discounts can be afford to business travellers.
