The premium version of the superior room, with more generous dimensions, is often used as a bridal suite. A historic room, the work of architects Ricard Balcells and Mariano Bordas, awarded a FAD prize in 1993. This space is decorated with furniture made of noble materials, including a king size bed. The space Fonda Europa is a hotel that has been offering great cuisine and a relaxing stay in a family atmosphere since 1771. As defined by the fondista ideology, the spirit of hospitality begins at the table and moves to the warmth of the room. Following this hospitable tradition of the late 18th century, our restaurant, an exponent of traditional Catalan cuisine, is complemented by 37 spacious, elegant and modern designer rooms with all amenities. A house with so much tradition has attracted artists of all kinds such as Picasso, Dalí, Montalbán, Cela, Miró, Eugeni Xammar... Characters who have left their mark on the walls and history of Fonda Europa such as, for example, Josep Pla. The charismatic writer, who used to spend long stays, christened our emblematic breakfasts as "fork breakfasts". Not only is it the oldest inn in the country, but also a business run by the same family, generation after generation, for 250 years. By not changing hands, it has managed to maintain the essence of a space like no other, as well as to continue its mission of making private cuisine public. The members of this family are remembered fondly and thousands of stories are told about the genuine hospitality given to guests. Our menu is a compendium of recipes with a lot of history, including rice, roasts and lifelong dishes. For breakfast, lunch or dinner. We have several rooms, including a terrace from which you can appreciate the day to day of the city of Granollers. We recommend: starting the day with a "planchadito" or a good "capipota", enjoying one of our midday rice dishes or having a transcendental experience with one of the house's signature dishes such as cannelloni, Paella Parellada, lamb with twelve heads of garlic and the typical Catalan stew "escudella i carn d'olla".
