The house is situated on the banks of the river Cesse in the vibrant village of Bize Minervois. Consisting of 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms the house is well suited to accommodate up to 10 guests comfortably . A well equipped kitchen, BBQ, an internal and outdoor dining setting in the garden overlooking the river beach provide great facilities to experience the produce and wines of the region. The river provides a perfect area for exercise or a leisurely bathe to escape from the summer heat. The space Bize Minervois is a vibrant and popular village situated on the Cesse river. Throughout the summer the village hosts numerous festivals and evenings of entertainment focusing on music food and wine, it also contains three great restaurants ,one of them ,Cafe du Midi, being situated in Place aux Herbes very close to the house. The village is centrally located in the Minervois wine region and close to the Corbieres area too so there is a vast array of large and small vineyards to explore during your stay. The house looks over the river beach , a great place for swimming particularly for children and during the summer there is a lifeguard patrol in the afternoon until 7PM. However if the sea beckons, a trip to a Mediterranean beach is easy , Narbonne Plage and Valras Plage being the closest whilst the Spanish beaches of Roses are about 1 hour 45 mins away . There are also some beautiful walks in the area of various distances and demands through the forests , hills and vineyards surrounding the village. Cycling is also very popular in the area and hire companies operate in the region providing bikes and pick up services throughout the year. The two closest cities are Beziers and Narbonne, both are worth exploring and if in the area in August an essential night out is Feria in Beziers when the whole city turns into an enormous party of food music and wine, a million people attend over the festival period.It is the Carnival of Languedoc. The house itself provides a relaxing and spacious environment in a private setting yet close to the action of a typical south of France village, a great location for a very enjoyable holiday and experience.
