La Chocolatería is a rural cottage located in Horche (Guadalajara), with three floors and capacity for 18 guests. Two centuries ago, this rural cottage was actually an oil press house and a chocolate factory. After a deep rehabilitation, the building has kept its original essence. The space La Chocolatería is a rural cottage with three floors and capacity for 18 guests. It is on the bottom part of the village of Horche (Guadalajara), inside the historical center. La Chocolatería is located on a privileged place next to a XVI century laundry house, which is, nowadays, one of the most representative monuments on the village. It was built in 1578 close to a water spring called “Fuente vieja” (the oldest water spring in Horche, built in 1553). Two centuries ago, this rural cottage was actually an oil press house, and then, it became a chocolate factory 100 years ago. After a deep rehabilitation, the building has kept the original essence, whereas it has improved the comfort and services needed in a rural cottage. Private swimming pool (only Summer). Besides, all reservations for 2 or more nights include a free-guided visit to our farm and orchard. Guest access Firewood for fireplace is NOT included in the price.
