Comfortable rural retreat in annexe of 150 year old barn conversion on a sheep farm. Light the woodburner if you fancy (logs supplied). Open plan kitchen/lounge/diner opening on to your own garden & patio which soaks up the afternoon sun. The bedroom has a shepherd hut style double bed. There is Wi-Fi & free off-road parking. Our place is within 2.5 miles of Mullion Golf Course, sandy lifeguarded beaches, and is central for exploring The Lizard Peninsula - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The space This farmstead accommodation contains much character with the walls and fireplace featuring natural stone including Cornish granite. The lounge/diner has a TV with DVD player/radio, and a comfortable sofa. The dining area seats 2 comfortably and can be extended to seat 4 if required. In the bathroom there is a walk in shower cubicle (no bath) with twin head shower, an illuminated mirror with a toothbrush charger & shaver point incorporated, and a decent size dual fuel heated towel rail. There is a standard size electric oven and halogen hob with extractor fan in the kitchen area. It is fully equipped with pots, pans & (hopefully!) all the utensils you'll need. Just off the kitchen is a washing machine, microwave and fridge with small freezer compartment. The bedroom is very quaint with beams and a bedside table and lamp. You'll need to climb into the bed from one side only as it's a shepherd hut style bed (slightly higher than a regular bed) with storage underneath. The Velux window is fitted with a black out blind. Electric sockets include a USB charger. There is a cupboard in the hall leading off the bedroom with a spacious hanging rail and hangers included. For additional guests there is a double fold-up bed (available on request) which goes in the lounge. This can also be requested if 2 people wish to stay in separate beds, and will incur a one-off fee of £20 payable on arrival (bedding included). There is plenty of room in the lounge to stretch out on your yoga mat should you choose to bring it! Please let us know in advance if you require the travel cot (with bedding), highchair, fire-guard or fold-up bed. The property has oil central heating and radiators in all rooms so you won't be chilly! Towels and bed linen are included in the price (although please bring your own beach towels). We have horses, pigs, hens, sheep and geese. The wooded valley nearby is inhabited by several species of birds. By day you may hear buzzards and at dusk, the owls. As we are in a rural area there are no street lights. A comprehensive guide on things to do and cafes/restaurants in the area will be forwarded on booking.
