The Beautiful Fountains

Located in Bierry les Belles Fontaines, a rural commune of the Yonne bordering the Côte d'Or, close to the communes of Montbard (Buffon city) and Semur en Auxois, (typical medieval city), our gîte is housed in an old building that opens onto a wooded lot, crossed by two rivers. The place encourages rest and rejuvenation, a detour is recommended by our little house of books to discover some stories to read or to share, or our mini animal farm... The space 130 m2 house with 3 bedrooms. The ground floor consists of a living room, kitchen, shower room and toilet; a first bedroom with double bed is accessible through the living room. Upstairs are the other 2 bedrooms with 3 double beds, a shower room, a toilet. One of the two bedrooms includes two double beds, two wardrobes act as a separation between the two beds, but are removable, if it is to have children sleep together. A space in the courtyard is furnished with table/chairs/benches, barbecue. The garden shared with the owners is accessible to residents of the accommodation, it also offers a playground for children (swings and slide). The pool operates from June 15 to September 15, open to residents every afternoon from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The opening period can be extended to residents depending on weather conditions 😊 Two streams cross the property, caution is required for the little ones, as well as for older children. A parking area at the top of the property serves as parking for 3 vehicles. Guest access The house is close to a listed fountain in the village square, and is marked with a "rural gîte" sign. It is below the departmental road towards Avallon. For more convenience, guests can park their vehicle to unload in the first courtyard of the house. Then, higher up in the property, a parking area is available free of charge to guests. Other things to note Upon arrival, guests sign the rental agreement and inventory (equipment, furniture) with the owners. A deposit is also required, check or cash, returned when you leave the premises. Bed and bath linens are not provided, it is a paid service to be requested from the owners before arrival at the premises. No pets allowed.
