Riverside House offers peaceful accommodation from its location beside the River Wensum in a quiet village near the historic City of Norwich. Close proximity to Marriott’s Way, the Royal Norfolk Showground and the N & N hospital makes Riverside House the ideal base from which visit Norwich. Everything you need for a comfortable stay, plus panoramic countryside and river views and pubs within walking distance. Please note there are low beams as cottage is 16th century and there is no kitchen. The space Stay in our characterful & charming Grade II listed holiday cottage, attached to Riverside House. Thought to date back to 1600, the cottage was a brew house for the early occupants of Riverside House. In later years (around 1795), Reverend Wilkes of Costessey held the first recorded Baptist Service in the cottage. In the mid 1800’s the cottage was occupied by Hannah Scott who used to drive cows up the Street to the common. Now it is a self-contained holiday cottage named Hannah Scott’s. Hannah Scoot’s Cottage sleeps 2 in a King-sized Double bed and has a private bathroom and a cosy, snug lounge Towels and bedding are provided. Our accommodation benefits from private parking in large gated driveway. Plenty of character is included as standard (but please mind your head).
