This 1,800 sq. foot comfortable three-bedroom home sleeps 6 on two beautiful acres in Mariposa. 5 minute drive to restaurants, museums, YARTS bus stop. When you're not exploring Yosemite, enjoy sunsets, stargazing, wildlife, and scenic mountain views from the back deck. The space The cottage is a 45-minute drive to the El Portal entrance of Yosemite National Park, which will bring you directly to Yosemite Valley. There you will see some of the famous landmarks such as El Capitan and Half Dome. Bass Lake, which is an hour drive, is a fun destination for those who like boating, water sports or just relaxing by the lake. The historic and charming town of Mariposa is a 5-minute drive. There you will enjoy a variety of restaurants and many excellent antique stores and boutiques, restaurants, and exploring the historic downtown. Visit the California State mineral museum, or the State's oldest operating courthouse. Public transportation (YARTS) from Mariposa is a convenient, stress-free way to travel to Yosemite. Bus fare includes admission into the park. The house sits on a quiet, private two acres with views of the mountains, and has every convenience you could need for a relaxing and comfortable vacation. (Full-size refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, electric hot water kettle dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans, microwave, 4-burner gas stove, oven, blender, toaster, baking dishes, and some pantry staples) -A washer and dryer with laundry detergent and fabric softener -Comfortable beds with fresh, clean linens, alarm clocks -Clean bathrooms fully stocked with fresh, clean towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hair dryers -Fun board games for everyone to enjoy -Newly installed central air conditioning and central heating -Yosemite guide books; iron and ironing board; outside dining table in side yard; Guest Handbook containing local information, maps, and information for Yosemite National Park. -50 inch UHDTV Smart TV -Starlink high speed internet -Keypad for easy check-in with your personal code Prices vary according to the season, holidays and time of week. No pets. No smoking. No parties. No events. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house and property. You'll have lots of privacy and peace to enjoy the quiet sounds of nature. Plenty of space to visit, enjoy meals together, or just rest up from the day's adventures. Other things to note Our short term rental permit and liability insurance allows us to accommodate a maximum of 6 people, including infants. Although Airbnb does not count infants against the maximum guest count, we must, so please be advised that every person in your group must be included in the maximum guest numbers of 6 people. Please don't attempt to book the property for more people than the maximum of 6, including infants. We have beds to sleep 6 comfortably (queen bed in master bedroom, with ensuite bath; two twin beds in 2nd bedroom; queen bed in 3rd bedroom). There is a one time cleaning fee of $90.00 per stay. Making a booking on behalf of someone else, such as family members or friends, is not allowed by either Airbnb or the cottage hosts. Must climb stairs - There are six steps from the drive to the front door/porch. Although the Samsung HD Smart TV provides access to popular streaming apps and some free content, guests may need to log into some streaming apps using their own accounts. The cottage is located just outside of town and approximately 0.7 miles back on a private gravel road. Your vehicle may get dusty. The next-door neighbor is a hobby backyard beekeeper. The honeybees enjoy the flowers on our property. There is a neighbor's outdoor cat that visits the property. She is extremely friendly and loves attention. While she may try to convince you that she belongs in the cottage (or your car), she is strictly an outdoor cat and should not be let into the house. No pets. Those that sneak pets into the cottage will be reported to Airbnb and receive a proper review. There is a Guest Handbook in the accommodation with maps, pamphlets, website addresses, and other information about activities in the surrounding area, including Yosemite National Park. Check-in/check-out procedures, kitchen and appliance instructions, and other tips are included in the handbook. There are separate containers in the utility room for waste disposal (recyclables and non-recyclables, as labeled). Please do not leave any leftover food or trash outside. Wildlife will attempt to get the food. Well Water/Septic System: The accommodation has a private well that produces safe drinking water. Please conserve water. We have a septic system that will malfunction if harsh chemicals, baby wipes, feminine products, or diapers are flushed down the toilet. Do not flush anything but human waste and toilet paper down toilet. Guests may be held responsible for costs of repairs for such malfunction.
