Captain’s Lookout is a cosy, self-contained studio on the first floor of an old granary, set within the courtyard of our 1750’s farmhouse. Ideal for romantic getaways or a break in the National Park……Set on the edge of the canal, it looks over a traditional canal boat marina. Easy for walks, bike rides and paddling adventures. Village pub near by which can also be walked to along the magical mon and brec canal. WiFi and TV. Not suitable for dogs, babies or young children. The space Contemporary Space with king size bed, perfect for solo traveler’s or a couple. The studio features partially vaulted ceilings and is furnished with a king-size bed and a comfortable seating area. It includes a shower room with a double-sized shower, toilet, and basin. The kitchenette has a counter with stools for dining and is equipped with a microwave oven (please note: there is no conventional oven), a two-ring hob, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a toaster, a kettle, and all the pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery you’d expect—including a cafetière. A flight of space-saving stairs leads up to a mezzanine level, which includes a sofa and a Smart TV. (Please note: the stairs may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns.) The studio enjoys lovely south-facing views over the canal and marina, with far-reaching views down the Usk Valley. While there is no private garden, there is a small area just outside the front door. Additional features include a built-in wardrobe with shelving for clothes and contemporary furnishings throughout. Allocated parking is provided for one car, and bike storage can be arranged if needed. Guest access There is parking for 1 car. We are set by the Mon and Brec canal, so you can bring your own canoes and paddle boards, if you wish Other things to note Please note:- The cooking area is a kitchenette it doesnt have a conventional over, just a hob and microwave. To access the Mez, the stairs are a Dutch Staircase, so please be careful. I provide a starter pack, with a few things to get you started, but the unit is self catering. So don't forget to bring your own breakfast things. Linen, towels and basic toiletries all provided, washing up liquid, dish cloths, scourers, tea towels, Tea, Coffee, Sugar and 2 toilet rolls. (No fresh milk, but we are next door if you haven't brought your own) The property is part of a set of holiday cottages. It is a small friendly family run business.
