Duvauchelle Dream

Duvauchelle Dream is a wonderfully spacious, three bedroom Kiwi holiday home on a lovely old fashioned quarter acre section. Plenty of room for the kids to run around with 5 mins to the beach in one direction and Duvauchelle Golf Course in the other. An easy 2 minute walk to Duvauchelle store and a 10 minute drive into Akaroa to all of the best local restaurants and shops that Akaroa has to offer. With loads of walking tracks nearby for exciting adventures your perfect Kiwi holiday home awaits! The space The modern house has a relaxed yet luxurious feel about it, lounge on the spacious deck while the kids run around on the lawn. BBQ for supper? Help yourself to whatever is in the vegetable garden and greenhouse - not much in winter I’m afraid - and if you like gardening - knock yourself out! Weeding is fun! We have two queen bedrooms (one is ensuite) and a third with two single beds for the kids. All bedrooms have portable heaters, hot water bottles and extra blankets in the wardrobes and dressers. There is badminton set up on the lawn, board games in the dining room sideboard and a pool table for fun and entertainment:) A two minute drive gets you to a beautiful swimming beach at Onawe, secluded from the crowds at the main Akaroa beach, an 8 minute drive away if you prefer. Or take a drive to the stunning east coast outer bay beaches at Okains or Little Akaloa Bays - around a 15 minute drive. Launch your boat or paddle board from the Duvauchelle boat ramp, 2 mins away. No problems parking your trailer - plenty of room here and at the house. We have the golf course right at our back door, it’s so close you can ride your golf cart to it or just walk - 5 mins max :) Walk to the Duvauchelle Store for ice cream or fish and chips. The Duvauchelle pub a slightly longer walk or a short drive; they have great food by the way. Guest access You have full use and access to all parts of the house and grounds. Other things to note Please remember that this is our holiday home. We’ll leave some basic cooking supplies for you - condiments, oil, flour plus tea and instant coffee - you’ll need to provide all of your own toiletries and food:) Toilet and kitchen rolls provided. Please leave the place as you found it. Clean and tidy. You’ll find bags and boxes for your rubbish. Put your dishes into the dishwasher and switch on.
