ZenCapeTown Holiday House is a magical farm-style double-story holiday house with a luscious garden, swimming pool, out-door BBQ, wide verandahs and off street parking. Set on the slopes of the mountains in Hout Bay we are close to Chapmans Peak Drive, Hout Bay beach, Mountain hikes and a wealth of local seaside village attractions. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. ZenCapeTown Holiday House is the perfect getaway with unique character and flair. We promote eco-tourism and sustainable living. The space ZenCapeTown Holiday House is focused on being a more sustainable guesthouse and is powered by the sun with supplimentary power from Eskom. We ask guests to assist in recycling your refuse. We have organic herbs and grapes growing on the property and we use rain water in the gardens and using environmentally friendly products in the bathrooms and the kitchen. This home has a true holiday feeling surrounded by greenery and luscious trees. There are giant indigenous trees and tall palms setting the jungle like feeling of this holiday home. The house is set against the mountain slopes with spectacular walks starting 300 meters up the road. A short stroll downhill will bring you to the famous Hout Bay Manor where you can sip on a chilled wine or dine at the 5 star restaurant. The house is also a 10 minute walk to many local shops, restaurants and the beach. The neighborhood is in a very safe area. The garden has a lovely large swing, hammocks, lilos for the pool, out-door tables and chairs, pool loungers and rolling lawns with views of the mountains. The house has everything you need for your holiday escape. We offer substantial discounts for monthly stays. Guest access Guests will have full access to the BBQ area, verandahs, swimming pool. The house is exclusively for guest use. There is an adjoining flat that has its own entrance on a separate street as the house is on a corner and you wont run into the tenants during your stay. Other things to note ZenCapeTown Holiday House is setup exclusively for guests. You will not feel that the space is too personalized as we also want you to feel like you have come to a beautiful rustic farm-style holiday home. The house has all the modern amenities you may require including a dishwasher, tumble dryer, washing machine, microwave, 5 plate gas stove, fridge, freezer, ice machine, blenders, juicers, oranges squeezers, popcorn machines, electric oven, fiber internet and bedroom TV's with Netflix South Africa . We provide a complimentary clean once per week which includes fresh linen and towels. Our house and garden manager will pop in briefly each day to sweep the paths and clean out the pool. We have an inverter and solar power to assist through load shedding so you will always have lights, internet, tv and laptop power cable. Guests will need to schedule using high energy appliances when load shedding finishes and it usually does not exceed 2 hours at a time. You will always be able to cook on the stovetop, make a coffee or tea, watch television, have lights and power for your laptops and the internet is always on. VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Both the Holiday House and the Forest Retreat are very special places and all our guests have felt it exceeded their expectations and our photos.
