Description
This is a spacious 4 bedroomed period farmhouse located on the south west corner of the sparsely-populated Cambrian Mountains. Recently refurbished, it is full of character with exposed beams and a large inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove. Sleeping 8, the house will suit a larger or extended family. Central heating and fast WiFi are included and there is a good sized enclosed rear garden complete with a large decked area complete with a BBQ, table and chairs for outside dining. The space Blaentwrch has been refurbished in 2019/20 with the majority of the rooms being upgraded. There are two lounges to the front of the house. The new kitchen is to the rear of the house, and leads out to a decked area facilitating outside dining. The four bedroom are all spacious (16'x10',16'x11',16'x15',10'x7') with an optional third single bed that can be made up in bedroom 3. There is an upstairs bathroom with a shower fitted over the bath, as well as a walk-in shower downstairs. Guest access A car is a necessity for transport in this sparsely populated area. There is space for 4 vehicles to park. The nearest towns are Tregaron (25min), Lampeter(30min) and Llandovery (35min). Other things to note The house is situated at the centre of a large 1000 acre mountain farm, which guests are free to explore. The farmland varies in altitude from 700 to 1500 feet above sea level, with panoramic views of the Cambrian mountains on the higher elevations. Within the boundary of the farm, there are numerous pre-historic burial sites and abandoned home-steads that can be explored. The farmhouse is located at the head of valley ('Blaen') of the river Twrch ('Badger'). Both the River Cothi and the Twrch flow through the farm, with their sources just to the North. The farm is located on the south west corner of the sparsely-populated Cambrian Mountains, known as the Green Desert of Wales.
