We offer family, couple and individual friendly accommodation in our fully equipped, spacious, quiet 2 bedroom, 63m2, first floor apartment, located in a peaceful residential area near to the beautiful fields of Zlato Polje (Golden Fields) in the city of Kranj. Fast free WIFI, air condition, free parking. Short 5 min walk from Kranj main bus station and 15 min walk from the old city center. Main Slovenian International Airport, Joze Pucnik - Ljubljana Airport is 9 km away. The space The apartment is fully furnished and has a spacious living room (cable TV, radio, air conditioning) with an open plan fully equipped kitchen with utensils and kitchenware just like at home kitchen. Spacious master bedroom with double bed and a large laptop friendly workspace. It has also a lot of closet space for clothes. Second bedroom with a bunk bed and balcony access (with chairs and table). A bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet. Bathroom is equipped with everything you might need: washing machine, hair dryer, complimentary shampoo/shower gel and towels. We have also a private storage room in the basement for sports gear such as bikes and skis. During winter time you can also use ski waxing bench. One old city bike is freely available for you to use. We can lend also a pair of hiking poles and day bags on request. City of Kranj has also bicycle-sharing system, which gives you an opportunity to hire bikes from self-service terminals located across the wider Kranj city centre.  The nearest docking station is just 50 meters away. Fast WiFi internet connection is available throughout the apartment. Apartment fits comfortably four, even five persons. In the living room there is a fold-out couch for another person to sleep. Guest access Free parking is available on site and there is also big public parking site near the apartment. Free access to fast WiFi, Air conditioning, heating, TV, radio, fully equipped kitchen with dish washer, washing machine, drying rack, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, slippers, complimentary shampoo/shower gel, towels. One old city bike is freely available for you to use and we have also a small book swap corner (Slovene, English, Finnish books). Other things to note Please note that we are required to collect 2.00eur/person/night city tourist tax upon your arrival. AirBnB does not collect the tax nor adds it to the price of the reservation. If we added the tax to the room rate, you would pay AirBnB's commission on it and we don't think that's fair. Every adventure needs a great base camp— this one is perfect for you, it's the perfect starting point to discover Slovenia! Since we are outdoor and active lifestyle lovers, (main activities mountain biking, cycling, hiking, cross country skiing and free skiing) we can provide more information and comprehensive route notes, GPS on some trips. At the moment we have one Lapierre hardtail mountain bike with clip pedals for you to rent. During winter time you can rent cross-country skis and also alpine, free skiing and avalanche equipment. Please just ask and we'll see what we can offer for you. City of Kranj is surrounded by mighty, beautiful Alpine peaks and green hills and there are numerous hiking trails in the area. For example you can hike to Mt Šmarjetna Gora (643m), it's just one hour walk from the apartment or Mt Sveti Jošt, (847m) which both are ideal for a short afternoon hike and enjoying beautiful nature. You can enjoy the fantastic terrain also on two wheels. Large woods and hills make the region the perfect destination for mountain bikers and touring cyclists. During winter Kranj is an excellent starting point for visiting ski centers. The Krvavec Ski Center (16 km, 25 min by car or free ski-bus), Ski Centre Stari Vrh (24 km, 30 min by car) and Kranjska Gora ski center (58 km, 45 min by car). For cross country ski lovers there are excellent XC- tracks in Ratece (62 km, 50 min by car) or in Pokljuka (46 km, 50 min by car). From Austrian ski resorts for example Nassfeld, (113 km) is also within reasonable travelling distance and just over the Italian border are the resorts of Tarvisio and Sella Nevea.
