A short drive from the rugged coastline of north Devon, yet nestled in the heart of a historic village, Darville Cottage is ideal for relaxing holidays. The cottage is spacious, comfortable,and complete with modern amenities. There is a courtyard for sunny days, and three excellent pubs and two convenience stores are a stroll away. Drive 7 minutes to Hartland Quay, for a swim at high tide and sandcastles at low tide, along with its spectacular rocky cliffs and stunning sunsets The space Darville Cottage is ideal for 4 people. With two sitting rooms - one with Tv and Steinway piano, the other with cosy wood burner, there’s space for everyone and the courtyard is a light summer space for al fresco lunches. Hartland Quay is 7 mins drive away - glorious swimming at high tide where you can walk straight in off the quay and at low tide a sandy beach with rock pools to while away the hours. Hartland Abbey is well worth a visit with its beautiful walled garden, and fascinating history. Many films have been set here and some say Prince William had his stag do here. The Vale is a few steps away - a haven of peace where dogs can happily be off the lead. For family fun there is The Milky Way adventure park and The Big Sheep adventure park and farm. Both within 25 mins drive. Surfers and body boarders (the latter are provided) can enjoy great rollers coming in from the Atlantic at Bude and Westward Ho! . Bude also has a sea water pool for those who prefer something calmer, and of course its gorgeous sandy beaches. Children’s books, toys, puzzles and games are provided, along with a wide range of adult books for curling up by the cosy wood burner.
